Hospice to Stage 8 in 35 Days
I'm heartbroken at the loss of my LO. He took his last breath at 5.15 am today while I held him in my arms. I am thankful I was able to keep my promise to keep him home until the end. It was gut wrenching to watch the life leave him. I guess we all know the day will come to let them go but I thought we would have more time, and I was not ready to live without him.
We were friends, then best friends and then partners for almost 30 years. He was the kindest, most generous and compassionate man I've ever been with. Now he will be my angel.
Thanks for reading and thanks to this forum for providing much needed support. xo

Caro lynne…please add my heartfelt condolences to all given here.
It does come as a shock and the next days will be filled with the deepest kind of emotions. Please know we are here for you…especially those of us on the rockers on the porch.

Caro lynne, you were a wonderful wife to him and you kept him in his own home. You did your very best for him even when there was nothing more you could do to try to make him better. I have so much sadness, but also admiration for you. I wish you strength in the coming days. I hope the memories of all the good times will take over the grief.

Deepest sympathy. Your LO is no longer suffering and is at peace. Heartfelt wishes that you can cherish the memories and be kind to yourself and rest. It takes awhile to forge a new path for yourself. I entered stage 8 last Nov 24th and just now beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. ((( Hugs )))
