Getting up and disorientated at night

My 94 year old mother was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago. Recently she has been starting to exhibit new symptoms at night and I would appreciate advice from anyone in the community would could help. She gets up in the night, strips the sheets off her bed and starts to pack her clothes as if she is about to go travelling ( or possibly, because she has forgotten that she is at home..?). Clearly, we would like to reduce the stress that this causes to her but would also be interested to know what technology might be best to alert us (or a carer) during the night. We could use a pressure mat by her bed but also want to consider an activity monitor or even one of the baby video monitors that are available. Any advice would be appreciated!

I use an indoor Ring camera it notifies you of movement. My mom was doing the exact same thing. I had to put suitcase where she could not find it. She would still get clothes out but after about a week of not having a place to put them she shopped.
