Medication Dispensers

Hi friends. I’m looking for guidance on locked and timed medication dispensers. My Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a year and a half ago. He’s still living independently, and fortunately we live in the house right next door. He takes medication three times a day and I’ve been delivering his medication to him for probably the last 16 months. My husband recently got moved to night shifts and as our 4.5 year old son is getting older life is only getting busier. I’m finding it increasingly difficult to get to my Dad at the exact appointed medication times. I should always be able to follow up with him to ensure he took the medication, I just may not be able to be right there with him. Until his condition progresses and while he’s still in the mild/moderate stage, I’m hoping there will be a viable option for us. Thank you in advance!

Hello. I just ordered this for my mom and waiting for it to be delivered. Hoping this works well!

Welcome. This is a common topic. I would recommend you try using the search it in this forum. You will probably get a lot of great information that way. You are not alone in looking for the best pill dispenser. I’m sure you will get a lot of great ideas here as well.

you may also want to put a camera where you can make sure he actually takes the meds. As the disease progresses he may not take them even with a dispenser.
