I know. But I do not approve. And I am not resigned.

Crushed, My sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved wife. You were a dedicated caregiver and advocate for her. You were also a great source of advice for me, I still have a copy of your 10 commandments for this journey that you posted years ago. May you find some peace in the days ahead.

Crushed, my wife passed away over five years ago but I still come back to this site now and then to follow the journey's of those who were most helpful and kind to me during my struggles. You were an inspiration to me and gave me hope and advice so many times over the years. Thank you for all you have shared with the folks on this message board. I hope you find peace in the days ahead and I am so sorry for your loss

Crushed, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I 'met' you on this site in 2017 and have admired the love and care you gave to your wife. When my DH had FTD and ALS, I, of course, knew his condition was terminal. But…when he passed away, I was 'shocked'. I naively thought my grieving would somehow be lighter. Not. So, let yourself grieve your loss and be kind to yourself. Again, I'm so sorry!

Crushed,
I'm glad her suffering is over. I'd say yours too, but having read your posts over the past decade I know that you still miss her and love her. So, I hope your grief ebbs more than it flows. May her memory be a blessing.
My DW, diagnosed 10.5 years ago and in care coming up on three years, just turned sixty.
Thank you for all of the advice you gave me and the community over the years.
John
