Whenever our fathers leaves the room for a bathroom visit or a walk we check his room and photo everything.

    Ossum,

    You've mentioned in another post that Hospice is caring for your Father? They should have a social worker that could assist you with addressing this home situation and safety. Have they not offered assistance in this?

    IMO when he is out of the room, get rid of all this junk….he’ll probably never miss it

    My brother and I live here helping him discreetly behind the scenes. We aren't allowed to upset him otherwise he will call APS again and they will have us removed via protective order.

    Everything we do to make sure he is fed, the stove is off, matches are hidden, bill are paid ect. are all done in secret. We make sure he never sees us.

    We do what we can, however we are legally limited until he goes to the doctor or dies.

    Hahaha, dear God no!

    Our father is suffering from untreated Nurosyphilis Dementia. He will notice if something is moved and will become outraged.

    We desperately need to keep the peace and keep him happy. At least for now.

    Currently it's like the Lord of the Flies. We are on the sidelines waiting for the 'adults' to step in.
