Just moved mom in

Our mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at 65…it's been a long journey with several moves but today at 79 we moved her into my home for hospice care. She can't talk and is so frail and stiff, my only hope is I've done the right thing for her and my sister and I. I keep wondering if I did the right thing and will I be able to maintain this if she outlives her hospice time.

You did the right thing for all of you. Your mother may not be able to tell you, how she feels but she loves you and your sister, for taking care of her. Hospice will be a big help to you and a blessing to your Mom. I dont believe Hospice ever runs out, as long as she needs it.

They say 6 months for Hospice but it doesn't run out. You did the right thing. My sister had my mom move in with her and cared for her until she passed. It was a very loving home and end of life.

As long as they have her as an 'Alzheimer's' patient there is no time limit.

You made that choice out of love. Being at home with family can bring a lot of comfort during hospice.
Take it one day at a time and lean on the hospice team, they’re there to support you too. The fact that you care this much shows you’re doing your best. 💛
