As the song says "Everyone I know goes away in the end"

I'm trying to be forgiving. Forgive us our debits, as we forgive our debtors. Boy it is not easy.

I am new to this forum, wishing I had come sooner, sole caregiver for DH (as a newbie I have to check - that stands for dear husband?) and have been surprised at how his siblings ignore the situation - but it is comforting to hear I am not alone in this experience - I am very grateful to read all of this today

This is really beautiful, especially the “today I will love you one more day”.

This post and these replies have helped me so much. I am so grateful for you all and for your honesty.

I saw a clip recently and it also helped me. There are pieces that don't apply (she speaks from the caring for a parent perspective - this post is on the spouse caregiver page).

It's from the tiktok account of a woman who is in a season of walking her parents home due to cancer for her mom and Parkinson's for her dad. Her tiktok is "how to help your parents die" if you'd like to look her up (if you use TT). She is a social worker and she does a good job sharing reality from the "messy middle".

    May we be well 💜

    Jen
