Coping methods

most times i'm fine. sometimes i feed either angry, sad or frustrated. the following help me cope; walking away for several minutes when i'm getting angry. regular exercise both cardio and weights. some cardio gets endorphins flowing providing euphoria. living in the moment -enjoying the good times together and know the challenging times are transient. 'does it really matter' approach - lets me ignore unimportant items. sedona method - a method for embracing and confronting a feeling and then letting it go. blessings to all.

I started doing weights about a month ago. It really does help. The only down side is my DH gets very agitated with noise of any kind. I love my music loud when exercising. I need to work on the does it matter and letting go approach. I really suck at both. I got my Buddha books out tonight 🥳 Blessing to you too💕💙

Yes. Working out hard helps. Also, just laying down for 20. Breathing, talking with a friend or journaling

Ed, so sorry about losing your dog. Some of my greatest loves and losses in life have been my pets. I believe they will be waiting for me in heaven when I pass. Only a small comfort when I really just want to have a good cry with my friend in my lap.

The only comment I can make to you is, I know exactly what you are going through.

Two days ago, I was told my PET scan showed early onset Alzheimers. Even my neurologist was shocked. I've been living with brain fog for about a year and my neuro thought it was depression. I'm scared but determined to get treatment and live my best life. Still, every day I feel the fear of living with the unknown. I'd like to know how the treatment is helping others.

I am very sorry you have this news. I am a caregiver not stricken with ALZ. All I can offer is caring from a stranger.
