Good morning all

Just discussing with a coworker and he mentioned having a pretty life-altering appointment with a homeopathic practitioner for an ailment and suggested maybe reaching out for help regarding my father and dementia. Maybe something diet related, or supplement wise could help with the day to day struggles.

I recognize this is probably comparing apples to man hole covers, but has anyone looked into this ? or had any success/ no success ?

Appreciate the community as always !

Apples to man-hole covers - I like that analogy.

I know there is no cure. yet. However, I suppose almost anything is worth a try.

I think the only thing close that we've done is related to sugar. MIL is pre-diabetic, so we pretty much eliminated it. We can tell a little difference if she does manage to get hold of some, in that she is a little more wound up. (like a child on sugar) Other than that, couldn't hurt to see if something helps, and it may depend on what stage. mom is late-stage 6, stepping into 7, so I don't think it would matter at that point.

    thank you for the feedback!

certainly no cure, yet. My guess or hope I should say, would just be more maintenance in the day-to-day life.. i'm sure it couldn't hurt to see someone and get some information.

my father is definitely stage 3 - entering stage 4 so my thoughts are with you.. hang in there

The question is will you dad follow any lifestyle changes suggested and will he remember to. My mom should keep her feet elevated and wear compression socks because of edema but she doesn’t want to. She should avoid sugar and carbs since she is diabetic, but she doesn’t. She has eczema so bad her hands are almost bleeding but she refuses to use the cream the doctor has prescribed. I hope your dad is more compliant.
