I have also experienced hair shedding/thinning. I think mine is different from what you all have described here. Mine is sporadic. I'll have it for a while, and then it stops. I suspect it's related to stress. I have done almost everything possible to stop it. Most everything except the platelet rich plasma injections into the scalp. That's where they take blood from your arm and separate out the platelets and inject it and afterwards take a wallop out of your wallet. If I felt it was "necessary" to stop the hair loss I would do it. I am in the non-shedding phase now, thankfully.
Going out to lunch with friends today. I went to my exercise class today. Today's video was on balance and posture. There are six DVDs that we alternate and we meet twice a week.
Have a good day, everyone, BBL.

Mint…my front door is red but I think Elizabeth Arden. My Grandmother's go to.
Miss Gray…perfect comeback!
Lorita…you did plant creeping phlox.
Jerri- lynne…there is a frying pan in the drawer of my range that is stuck. Wish someone in my family was like your husband to get it out. It made me remember that I had and All Clad pan. Now why would I have an All Clad Pan? Well , years ago Dick treated himself to a new main for "our" boat. I retaliated by buying some All Clad. Stupid me. lNow twice the money had come out of our account and he could not have cared less. He really was Peter Pan.
Ron…thanks for checking in. You will never stop missing Lou. The missing must be the price we pay for the love.
HB…so true.

Is anyone interested in studying Ansel Adams along side me? If so I promise only to post what I find most interesting. Things I will be looking for are those that a group of adults is likely to ask me about like equipment used and his influence on our environment…a converstion already started by Iris.

Me, too, Iris! Feels good, huh? Hated to get up.
This Is Monday and I've stripped the bed and am washing sheets and quilt. I have a little, open back.porch so decided I would hang the sheets out to dry in the wind. We have two big hooks we used to hang a blind from to keep out the sun so I use hangers with clips to hang the sheets. Makes them smell good to dry outside. Now I have to make the bed which Is hard. Wish I had a full sized bed instead of a king. Going to put on blue flowered sheets instead of the dark wine ones I like in the winter.
All three of my outside doors are cranberry. We had a green door when we lived in the MH.
Forgot yesterday to talk with Bryon about painting the porches. I have the paint but don't want to tackle it myself. Did that once.. He is really into fishing now even though he is allergic to fish. He has to wear rubber gloves when handling them. He catches crappe to use as bait for catfish. Said he caught a 35 pounder and a 22 lbs. One in the Arkansas River past week.
HB and Mint, glad your mothers are doing better. Reminds me of what we went through with my mother. Good idea, Mint, to use something cheaper for your mother's water.
It's a pretty sunny day but windy so the sheets dry in no time flat. Sandy, I got that purse and it's not too bad. It will do for a while.
Better stop and check the dryer and get that bed made. Back later.

Remembered something about hair loss. Two of my sisters in law used Biotin to alleviate hair loss. They swore by it. I have a bottle so will begin using it. Hope it helps.
Judith, have been forgetting to tell your I bought another air purifier so have one in the LR and another in the bedroom. It's been almost two months since the last allergy shots for the GPs. They scratch some so hope it doesn't get worse.
Decided to wash the sheets to freshen them before putting them on the bed. Been months since I last used them. I have a plastic mattress cover, then the mattress pad. Discovered the plastic one was wadded up almost under where I sleep. Cause of backache sometimes? It is now cloudy.

Beth, I think I'd wear a coonskin cap before I would get blood transfusions to my scalp!
A dermatologist told me the lack of hair on my calves is due to reduced circulation in my skin, and I suspect the lack of hair on my scalp is the same. In that case, any repair would be only temporary. I just wear a cap, wool in winter, linen in spring and fall, and a broad brimmed straw hat in summer. Sometimes I wear the baseball cap the local minor league ball team gave me last time I was at the park. If you're a Prince fan, a raspberry beret would be pretty neat. A turban like Iris wears would work too.

Judith,
I would love to hear about Ansel Adams! And, if we’re traveling anywhere near you we’d be happy to stop by to meet you and have DH see if he could help with the stove drawer. 😘

For those asking, I took pictures of the moon with a Nikon Coolpix camera. I was amazed at the detail I was able to capture!
Judith, I'm curious if are you allowed to take pictures of the exhibits at your museum. The ones I have visited do not allow it.

Caro-lynne…yes to photos but no to flash

Jeri…I would love to have you visit …see my museum and you can park the RV in my driveway! The museum has the largest private collection of Chihuly and the Memorial at night in itself is worth the trip.

Carl, Charles wore cowboy boots a lot and I always thought the reason he didn't have hair on his lower legs is because the boots rubbed against the skin. Patsy had alopecia areata but found a hairdresser who figured out how to hide those spots with her own hair. Mine just comes out when I brush it.

Good afternoon. Y'all are just good for my sole. Support, encouragement, recipes, travel, hair washing, different products that you find helpful and just plain oh be here - yup, good for my sole.
I have always named my cars. Right now I'm driving Betty White! I don't know why or how it started, but every car has been named.
Ansel Adams, yes please. I could study his photo's all day long & not get tired of them. For me I think the depth perception is what amazes me.
Summer has arrived. Yesterday we had 40+ mph winds and 94 degrees. It literally was blowing yellow pollen everywhere. Just gross. Today its 85 and 25mph winds - much nicer. I'm afraid we're in for a long hot summer. Our power grid isn't sufficient for it either.
I'm a wash you hair every day kinda gal. I will say on occasion I'll shower without washing my hair, but its far and few in between.
Pup needs out, back later. Seriously, y'all are great. Let's be safe everyone.

Lorita, boots will rub the skin off in places and leave bare spots; I noticed that when I was in high school. I can't wear boots anymore but have lost the hair all over the calves and toes in recent years, so boots aren't it. I'm just getting old. I attribute the hair loss on my head to hereditary male pattern baldness and age.
I looked up Biotin and WEB MD says it will help if you have hair loss due to a Vitamin B7 deficiency. Or you can eat milk, eggs, and bananas and get B7 the old-fashioned way. I had not known that. I learn something every time I come here.
We all lose hair when we brush it. It's not a problem so long as it grows back as fast as it sheds.
I have heard that a man's hair loss in front means he's a thinker, and in back means he's sexy. Hair loss front and back means he thinks he's sexy.

You're great too, Eagle. Betty White - I assume the car is white, but maybe not?
One of my friends made a yellow fiberglass canoe. It was his first fiberglass project so he made it twice as thick as it needed to be. That made it twice as heavy, and it rode low in the water. His son and mine called it "The Yellow Submarine."

Carl, you have a great sense of humor! Yellow Submarine - ha! Our cars are Blackie and Reddy. Bet you can guess why.
Regarding hair loss, I have also noticed my brows have thinned quite a bit. I suspect hormones or lack thereof have something to do with that. I can compensate for that with makeup. ha!
We dined at a Mexican restaurant today with friends. I had pork carnitas with refried beans and rice. I brought some of it home for dinner tonight.
I'm reading a good book, "The Five Star Weekend" by Elin Hilderbrand right now. I hope to finish it soon.

Good afternoon.
Lorita. Years ago Dan, planted Sweet Williams, around our house, they were so pretty and smelt very sweet. They came up for a few years, I missed them when they stopped. I was thinking maybe the cold weather and snow got to them.
Iris. I plan on doing a big food delivery before the kids leave. If I run out of something, Walmart, will have it here in a hour. I will have car, if I need to go anyplace. I really don't like driving while the kids are gone, I worry something will happen to me and all my pets, will be left alone.
JeriLynn. Thank you, I'm looking forward to the time I will have alone. I wish I knew someone, here in Arizona, in case I need help, I will just pray that does not happen.
Carl. I'm with you on wearing a Coonskin Cap, no way will I get a shot in my head.
Mint. Your mom, sounds so happy in her home. When Dan, was in MC, there was a real loud and grouchy man there. They put him in different rooms, trying to find someone he could get along with. My Dan, was a very quiet mellow man, so they gave that a try. A few days later, they heard a loud noise coming from their room. They found Dan, beating on their bathroom door, with his walker, calling this man every name in the book. I guess Dan, had chased him into the bathroom. The next day, the mean man got moved to a empty room. Please don't worry your mom will be fine.
GG. I would love to share yoga stories, with you. I'm in a beginner class, I don't plan on advancing, I'm also in a total relaxing class, class is 60 minutes, we lay in 6 different positions for 10 minutes each. This is so relaxing, last week one of the ladies fell asleep. 😅 With you going to the gym, your probably all ready in good shape.
I hope you all have a good night. Ron, it was so nice hearing from you. Hugs to all Zetta

About ready for bed. Upset so may not be a restful night.. Have a good rest and sleep tight.

Really nice day here today, sunny and in the 60s, everything is in flower now.
Everyone - I love all of your names of your cars! I'm especially enchanted by Iris' car, Pumpkin.
jfkoc - count me in on Ansel Adams. I was still a teen the first time I went to Yosemite. I was so taken with it that I seriously thought about becoming a forest ranger. Later, I saw his photos of Yosemite, and remembered all of those feelings.
I love farro! Did you enjoy it? It works well as a risotto and is great as a base for a salad (those are the two main ways I've encountered it).
The Museum of Glass is in Tacoma, WA. I think it's in partnership with Dale Chihuly (and/or his family?). It's a very cool place. I have a few photos from the last time I was there. I'll post them when I find them. This would be a fun exhibit to see.
Mint - there were a couple of loud/aggressive residents at my sister's facility. I remember this one guy who violently kicked the locked entrance door. He was moved out not long after that.
No one decorated their doors at her facility either - but each one had their own shadowbox right outside the door. I thought that was kind of cool. For Peggy's we had a lot of family photos, a couple of little miniature glass cats, and some little plastic zombies from The Walking Dead (like the little zombie girl with her teddy bear). I know it's weird, but for reasons beyond me, she really liked that show.
HB - 28 years old - and everything works! Isn't that the truth?
Iris - I'm glad you're getting some better sleep.
Zetta - Yay! (about the yoga). I really do want to try it, and hearing about how it goes for you will inspire me.
I'm with the rest of you - no shots in my scalp! I don't care what my hair looks like, I'd rather be bald then do shots.
I hope all of you have a good night!

Judith, yes to learning more about Ansel Adams.
I took 5000 mg of biotin for years, it did not stop me from losing hair on my head. I used to have to shave my legs a lot, now I have no hair on my legs at all. Why wasn't I this smooth when I was younger? I hid my legs because I was too hairy.
I have noticed more women going about in public bald. I'm not that bold. If I had good evidence that the stem cells would work, I would try it. But after I pay for my trips.
Good one, Carl!
Lorita, I hope you get over your upset so you can sleep!

I liked being 28. I had all my hair and all my teeth and didn't wear glasses. DS was a baby. Best of all, DW was 28 😍😍

Good morning,

My tulips (Banja Luka) are blooming, and I brought a few inside.

Good..so let me start the study of Ansel Adams with an interesting old saying;
"It's not the arrow, it's the archer"... a person's skill or ability is more important than the tools or equipment they use.
EQUIPMENT:
A camera is a device that captures light and processes it into an image. It does this through a lens, which focuses the light onto a light-sensitive surface where a picture is formed. This could be film in traditional cameras or an electronic sensor in digital cameras.
"Knowing what I know now, any photographer worth his salt could make some beautiful things with pinhole cameras."…Ansel Adam
His first camera was a Kodak No. 1 Brownie Box camera #1….basically a cardboard box.
My tours at the museum are basically a conversation. so please, all input/question are welcome.
NOTE: The museum has the second largest collection of photographs by Brett Weston

I must really love going to the VA! Last night I knew my appointments were Wednesday the 16th. This morning when I got up, for some unknown reason, I thought today was the 16th. This is the 2nd time I've gone for a appointment this year only to find out it was the wrong day.
I've never in the past mixed my days up!

I can't keep the days straight either, Ron. Since I quit working, they kind of blur together. If I didn't have a phone and a computer with dates on them, I would be like a wandering goose. I can see where you would be eager to get that pain shot, too.
I know today is Tuesday because the visiting nurse is coming in a few minutes. That's the high point of our day. OTOH, it's a pretty day here, sunny and a high of 65. Have a nice day!
