I am a caregiver for my dad. I have PTSD, I'm trying to not take things personal with my dad. In the moment I tend to forget. Just yesterday he said to me he needed a new bed I got him one with his money. After I got it, he asked how much it cost, I was trying to pull up the receipt, he snapped at me, because I was taking to long. He said to my daughter and her friend that I was trying to scam him out of his money. I have been trying to help him whatever way he will let me help him. I guess he thinks because my daughter bed that she bought was cheaper he thinks his bed should be the same price. With her bed you know the saying you get what you pay for. So his bed is higher priced and it's good for older people to sleep on. I tried to tell him this but he wants to argue and yell. It's very stressful and frustrating 😫😫😫😫

Hi there! I can relate. My mom was diagnosed last year, she had to live with me for a couple of months. We moved her into assisted living. Since then, I have become overwhelmed with the constant "fights". I am also suffering from Depression/Anxiety/PTSD. Have have to get some help in order to function / cope with just my life. Being the primary care giver for all things just feels too much. She is constantly wanting or needing something. Today I am trying to find new doctors for her because she doesn't like the one she has. I just want to be able to love her but find it really difficult when I don't have the capacity. I am trying to figure out a group or two to be a part of so that it doesn't feel so isolating.
