HB, your mom is right the shower felt so good. I can't wait until I can do it again by myself.

Well my nightmares are back I'm going see if my neurologist can adjust my meds the next time I see her.

Well my wife returned the final application for admission to the Veterans Home. Now it's just waiting to see what happens. I am praying that I can go because it's getting to much for my wife to take care of me. Like I have said it is a Hard decision but it's the Correct decision but it won't be easy. Right now just thinking about it my eyes are filling up .

Good Saturday morning, waiting for sister in law and her husband coming down from N.H. and spend the day. Haven't seen them in several months. Because of my dementia my wife and I don't do much traveling.

David Im so sorry you are having to struggle with this.

well mom still having pain says it is now on right side also. Different hospitalist today. She feels mom has cellulitis on left as wbc elevated. When i asked her what she thinks about why right is hurting she said she thinks mom is making it up. Im not sure she is right about that. Anyway i was able to get DNR on file and she said she agreed with me that it is totally reasonable.

I'm up, I awoke at noon. I'm on my third day of medication to reduce contagiousness. I started taking honey last night for coughing, I saw a recommendation on YT, it seems to be working. My taste buds seem to be decreased, my food all tastes bland, and my hearing is muffled. But overall, I am better.

Thanks, David.. I will tell my neighbor to ask the doctor.

Sandy, had a nap of a little over an hour. Today I carried a 16 lb. Case of dogfood to the back of the house with my right hand, then an eleven pound case. Now my back and lower ribs on the left are really hurting. Found the heating pad and have it on so maybe it will help. What was I thinking, I knew better.

So enjoyed our visit. We will have to talk more often. Wish you weren't so far away. Glad you have a friend closeby.

Mint, so sorry your mother is having so much trouble. Hopefully she will improve soon.

HB, also hope your mother gets better soon.

Iris, glad you tried the honey. I have heard it mixed with a little lemon juice does help with coughing.

Ron, take it easy and be careful. Goodness, seems so many of us are having health problems or our mothers are. It has to get better.

I need to find a good movie to watch tonight and get away from the news for a while.

Lorita if I did what you say you do I would be in pain too. I have a dolly i use when moving heavy things if i can.

I’m eating lunch and then I’m going to hospital. The nurse and MRI tech called me a bit ago and they are going to try and do MRI of her brain. I suggested some work arounds as she refused it first time. Asked them to just call it a xray and say it is to try and help her with her pain. Yesterday my sister was in room and they started telling all about her meds and my sister suggested they say for pain. They did and it worked she took all 4 meds. This is how I know she is in pain. She told me later the Tylenol didn’t work. They were putting her on something stronger.

Mint, sounds like you all have figured out what works with your mother. I hope they are able to the MRI done today. Let us know.

I have a dolly and cart I use outside and have used the dolly inside. Also have a couple of wire expandable trays with wheels I normally use to get the dog and cat food inside but yesterday just didn't do it. Didn't seem to bother me when lifting and carrying it but it surely did afterwards. Most of the pain this morning is in my back, probably from the costochondritis.

It's cloudy and dreary here this morning. Don't like days like this.

Eagle, Chiefs this afternoon and Bucs at noon. I watched morning news shows and QVC for a while but didn't order anything.

Hello, well it guess my nightmares are getting ugly again. Last night me and my wife were at my timeshare during the winter just walking around and when it came to go home I couldn't find my keys or phone and I paniced and then i jumped out of bed started getting dressed to go out looking for them. (I have wondered before)Then I realized what I was doing and stopped ). That is why I'm hoping when I see my neurologist she can adjust my meds.

I'm sure that was frightening, David but at least you realized what was happening in time.

This is my daddy's birthday. He would have, been 117. He has been gone 29 years and I still miss him every day. Always will.

Lorita, my daddy will be gone 51 years on the 29th of this month. I was 13 when he was killed in a work accident and like you, I miss him every second of my life. I pray he and my LO are together. Today marks one week without my LO 😢💔

Mint, HB, how are your mom's doing?

    Love to all xo

Yes it was frightening I'm just afraid that maybe the next time I will really wonder. That is why I hope that I get accepted to the Veteran's Home so my wife will not have to worry about me.

Lorita, use your dolly and cart! What are you saving them for? You don't need to be in pain.

I spent all might coughing and didn't fall asleep until 6 am to 1 pm. Now that I'm awake, I'm not coughing.

We got MRI of brain done today. There was no new stroke.
Iris when I get a cough at night that wont quit I usually head to recliner. That usually works for me.

    Good Night

Mint, glad there was no new stroke. Hope she continues to improve.

Iris, have you tried Mucinex for the phlegm?. Might help your cough, too. I remember when I was little and couldn't quit coughing, mother would have me take a little salt and it helped.

I do use the dolly and cart a lot but get in a hurry and don't take the time. Going to have to do better.

    Goid night, everyone.
