Sitting here reading through some of the post/discussions, hoping to find someone to connect with. I just feel so alone. Even when I'm with family and friends. I'm anxious about an upcoming appointment with my Neurologist (Thursday)even though Leqembi infusion treatments have been going well. Every morning, I wake up and think, yup you still have EO. I'm so scared because my mom had dementia, I helped take care of her, so I know all too well what's to come. At times it was so overwhelming. Being a caregiver is just so demanding, and I hate that for my DH. For now, I'm still strong cognitively also physically fit and doing everything possible to stay that way for as long as possible. But I know that can change quickly. Anyway, thanks for listening.

Welcome to the message board. I'm glad that you've found us, but sad that you needed to find us. What you are feeling is perfectly normal, you are just able to express it.

Have you looked into any support groups? That would be a good idea. Since you getting treatments, is there someone there you can strike up a conversation with possibly? I would say to keep doing things to keep your mind cognitively active - puzzles, word games, games, etc. And also walking is excellent as long as you feel safe & stable doing so. Watching your diet is good and sleep very important.

When you wake in the morning instead of immediately putting a negative thought of "I still have EO" in your mindset, try changing that thinking to a positive thought. Something on the lines of "I have EO, but today I'm going to do everything I can to be the best me." Or something like that.
