Morning, good to hear from you, Ron. Also glad you have family close. Sounds like you have been on the go. Keep us posted.

Mint, what do you do at Lake Erie? How far from there are you? I think stacations are nice. You don't have to rest up after those.

I have had my bread and juice this morning, minus the bread. I guess it is the dreaded diverticulitis, probably from that fig bar. I guess I'll begin the Flagyl. Wish it didn't have that metallic taste.

About 4 this morning I woke up with awful pain in my left chest and ribs and even up into the left side of my neck. No sweats or left arm pain. Rubbed with pain cream and took an aspirin and it went away after 15 or 20 minutes. My ribs and where the costo is are sore this morning and into my back. I must have been laying on my side a long time and it really hurt my costochondtitis.

Groceries were delivered just after 8' this morning and got those put away. I had to show my ID and sign for them. I asked the guy if this is something new (never had to before). He said sometimes kids order when parents are gone and get medicine or alcohol. Hadn't thought about that. I ordered acetaminophen, alka seltzer plus and zinc tabs ( getting ready for winter).

I'm hungry but have plenty of juices. I can have mashed potatoes, applesauce and cream of wheat day after tomorrow.

I got some Pilot fine point gel.pens to use when writing checks. I think I will like them.

Iris, hope you are still on the road to recovery. Did you decide it has been the after effects not covid?

    Back later.

Good morning. I mistakenly set my alarm for 8 pm instead of 8 am, so I'm starting later than I had planned, but anyway, I'm up. BBL.

    Lorita…no mention of "seeds"

Diverticulitis flare-ups are primarily caused by inflammation and infection of the small pouches, or diverticula, in the colon, which can occur when these pouches become blocked with stool and bacteria. Lifestyle factors like a low-fiber, high-fat diet, physical inactivity, obesity, and smoking increase the risk of these flare-ups. Certain medications, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), can also contribute to flare-ups.

Ron…I need a nap just reading all you are doing

Halle Berry choked on a fig at lunch while she was making a James Bond movie with Pierce Brosnan. He did the Heimlich maneuver and dislodged the fig, so she says she truly was saved by James Bond!

Do you remember George Gobel? He said on his TV show (about 1967) that "Nobody gives a fig for George Gobel" and whole crates of figs were delivered to him from his fans. He thanked his fans for the fig bounty the next week on the show and his guest said "Nobody gives a Mercedes 450SL for . . ." I've forgotten the guest's name.

That's great, Carl! Thank you for sharing.

I've never had a whole fig but have had fig jam/preserves. Most recently, it was fig preserves, prosciutto and goat cheese on a pizza. Mmmm! Delicious.

May God bless you all and help each and everyone who is dealing with difficult circumstances; especially thinking of Ron and Eagle's DH…you too, Lorita.
