Bredesen randomized controlled trial

I recently listened to an interview on People’s Pharmacy with Dale Bredesen. He mentioned that he is the study chair for a randomized controlled trial for his approach to addressing a treatment approach for MCI or early stage dementia.

Here’s a link to the page with more info about the trial

Interesting—I know there's been discussion from time to time here about trials, but not sure of what phase this might be—too late for us, sadly, but Mom did follow a lot of the lifestyle recommendations involved—Hopefully if people did sign up there wouldn't be any out of pocket costs. I linked to the search here…

Yeah a friend at work recommended his book to me several years ago when my FIL was having memory issues. I started reading it but never finished since I knew he wouldn’t make the lifestyle changes.
Fast forward to now and my wife was diagnosed with MCI with Alzheimer’s pathology. And I kind of thought about Bredesen but knew many are critical of his approach so I set it to the side. Then last night I listened to this recent podcast and since then have been thinking about it more. My wife is still very very independent. And the Leqembi infusions and anti cholinesterase inhibitors were the only things offered. As of now, both have been paused because of side effects. We might restart the infusions but I do worry that they may be more trouble than they are worth.
