After losing my father to a long battle with Alzheimer's, I wrote this essay to help people navigate through the devastating journey of having a loved one with Alzheimer's, because it is the family and those closest to the individual with the disease who bear the greatest burden.

Most people find themselves thrust into this nightmare completely unprepared and ill-equipped, just as we were. Helping others through this means the world to me, so I hope this helps you in a multitude of ways. Also, please share the essay in any capacity possible, not only to raise awareness, but to specifically draw attention to the red flags and signs of Alzheimer's given that there are many people at this very moment who have a family member with dementia, yet do not realize it.

Thank you so much,

Darren Keith

In reading your essay its as if I was reading about my own life at this very moment with my father. So gut wrenching!I am very sorry about your father. When my father was diagnosed he was already well into the advanced stages of the disease. Sadly things spiraled quickly and things have never been the same .I remember feeling as you did pretty early on when my dad was first diagnosed. Although I described dementia as robbing me of the father I loved and that I was going to experience losing him twice. Once to the disease and second when he passes, life is brutal.Take care and I appreciate you for sharing .

I would like to share my husband's journey with Alzheimer's disease. He received his diagnosis two years ago at the age of 57, presenting with symptoms such as memory loss, difficulty finding words, and a pulsating sensation throughout his body. Initially, he was prescribed donepezil for six months, which was subsequently replaced with memantine. During this period, he was also diagnosed with dementia and began experiencing hallucinations and a diminished connection to reality.Suspecting that the medication might be contributing to his symptoms, and with the knowledge of his physician, I discontinued the memantine and commenced a natural herbal formula for Alzheimer's from AKNNI HERBAL CENTRE. Within three weeks of using the AKANNI HERBAL Alzheimer's disease natural herbal formula, his symptoms significantly declined. My husband, who is now almost 61, is doing exceptionally well, with the disease appearing to be entirely reversed. (Visit w w w.aknniherbscentre .com)
