HB, Friday's newspaper had an article about the hantavirus outbreak which included instructions on cleaning up droppings. Of course, you are not exposed to hantavirus on the east coast. But the main points were to use a bleach solution or an EPA-registered disinfectant and to use an N95 type face mask and gloves.

Are you freaked out? How did they get in? Best wishes on getting this under control!!!

Ron, you have a busy schedule. I hope you get everything done satisfactorily.

    Good afternoon Rockers.

Lorita. So sorry someone took your garbage can, how low can a person go. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the one Darwin gave you works well. Too bad your garbage company won't replace it. I think ours would.

Carl. Sounds like you had fun at the dance. There was a lot of people there. Im so glad there are places for seniors to go to and have fun. Alls you need is a pair of jeans along with your cowboy 🤠 then you'll fit right in. That was nice of you to take Barbara home. Your a gentleman.

Judith. Sorry your feeling some stress about your sister's care. I felt stress about my sister's care as well, but it all worked out. I bet your having fun with the bagpipes. For many years when I was a lot younger I played the clarinet, I was pretty good I was 1st chair in our high-school band. After high-school went by many years later I tried to play it again. There was no way I could get up enough air to play it. So I gave it up and I'm sorry I did.

Eaglemom. Im sorry your having to deal with a MIL like her, you surely don't need that. Please try not to let her get to you. Maybe just block your phone so she will just go to voice mail.

JeriLynn. Sorry for the loss of your nanny, it must be so hard to lose 😢 one of your goats. How many do you have?

Ron. Sounds like your getting out more. Have fun at the casino, when your feeling up to it maybe you will go to the senior center dance.

HB. I would hate to find mouse dropping in my kitchen. I have 3 cats, i have never seem them with one, I guess the mice know we have cats.

Not much happening on my end of the porch. I try to keep up with these posts but at times you all get so far ahead of me. I'm doing good and I keep myself busy. My DD works from home so she's upstairs in her office all day, I'm downstairs taking care of all our fur babies, 2 dogs and 3 cats.

    Take care all. Hugs Zetta

Went to the ophthalmologist today for my annual checkup, and he says my visual fields have more dark spots than last year despite the eyedrops. I'm going back in a couple of weeks for a new laser treatment that is supposed to be even better than the glaucoma eyedrops. Hearing aids next Tuesday. I'm feeling old!

The roofer came this morning and agreed I need a new roof badly enough that the insurance company will pay for it. Our hailstorm has been declared a national disaster, and he has been working seven days a week from dawn to dark looking at roofs and falling asleep on his laptop at home working on estimates. Shingles were delivered to a neighbor's house today, but we expect 2" of rain tomorrow and more rain later so I doubt he gets any work done for a few days. After that, we'll be hearing hammers all summer.

sorry about the mouse droppings and the stolen trash barrel. Rodents 🐭 are everywhere!

Good to hear you're doing well, Zetta. The trash barrel someone stole was my barrel, not the one the trash company rents out. It was a 50 gallon barrel.. Whomever stole it must have a big need for a barrel. I may have had another one in the corn crib but Darwin had one he didn't need. It'll work okay.

Good luck on getting your roof repaired soon, Carl. They are talking about hail here tonight. Hope not. I put the car in the carport but the PU is out.

    Thunder basketball tonight!!

Go Thunder! Should be a good game! Last night's game wasn't at all close, with the Cavs beating the Pistons by around 30 points. I think Spurs-Thunder will be a lot closer.

Speaking of thunder, I'm hearing some right now…4th night in a row that severe storms are predicted. The last 3 were nothing much for us but there was damage in other areas of the state. Carl, sorry about your roof damage but glad the insurance company is taking good care of you.

Reading a really good book. A true story, Family of Spies. "The Kuehns, a prominent Berlin family, saw the rise of the Nazis as a way out of the hard times that had befallen them. When the daughter of the family, Eberhard’s sister, Ruth, met Nazi leader Joseph Goebbels at a party, the two hit it off, and they had an affair. But Ruth had a secret―she was half Jewish―and Goebbels found out. Rather than having Ruth killed, Goebbels instead sent the entire Kuehn family to Hawaii, to work as spies half a world away. There, Ruth and her parents established an intricate spy operation from their home, just a few miles down the road from Pearl Harbor, shielding Eberhard from the truth. They passed secrets to the Japanese, leading to the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor. After Eberhard’s father was arrested and tried for his involvement in planning the assault, Eberhard learned the harsh truth about his family and faced a decision that would change the path of the Kuehn family forever.

Jumping back and forth between Christine discovering her family’s secret and the untold past of the spies in Germany, Japan, and Hawaii,
Family of Spies is fast-paced history at its finest and will rewrite the narrative of December 7, 1941."

What a great game-double overtime.but the Thunder didn't come out winner. Those are the hardest games to lose. The fans certainly got their money's worth tonight. The Spurs' 7:5" center, Wempy, is amazing. Thunder will even the series Wednesday. Don't miss it!

Sounds like a good book, Beth.. Severe weather with tornado watch just over into Kansas north and West of us. Good night.

HB - Yikes! I'm sorry you had to wake up to that. Do you guys get mice often? We had a few several years ago, and we had them removed pronto. I haven't seen any (or any evidence of any) since then.

Hi there ladyzetta - I'm glad you're doing well! You sure have a lot of fur babies to look after. 🙂

Carl - I'm glad your roof is going to be covered by insurance. I had no idea the hailstorm had been declared a national disaster, but from your description I can see why it would be.

Beth - That book sounds really good. If my dad were still alive, I know he'd want to read it too. He was at Pearl Harbor, and left only a few days before the attacks. (!!!)

Lorita - the tornado warning isn't by you, is it?

As for my end of the porch - good gym day today - earthquake bar and sit-ups. I've been promised renegade rows on Wednesday (yay?). I can do them, but they're kind of hard.

Great weather, high 60s, although with everything blooming my allergies are killing me.

I'm slowing down now, listening to Death Guild, but I'm not going to last until 2:30am. I'll probably be out within the next 15 min.

    Good morning everyone,

Again, thank you for your condolences.. and thank you Sandwich… I appreciate your comment.❤️

We now have a porch full of barn swallows nesting, so babies soon. A new nest by an unknown bird in the basket of the water hose and a white bunny rabbit making a home under our raised planters… baby geese are on the pond with Moms and Dads…

Beth, thanks for the composting tips.. I had a compost bin (sort of) but DH took it down. I'm vying for another one.

@Iris L. dressing the patio starts with moving all the furniture and using the leaf blower. Then pressure washing, then window washing. Then the furniture goes back in place, the rugs, the tables, the freestanding plant stands. There are two flower beds at the edge of the patio and they are complete as of this morning. My calla lilies came back and the hostas DH planted are gorgeous this year. I fill in around the perennials with annuals. The beach towels get washed and restocked in the wardrobe, the potting bench gets cleaned and straightens and the vintage corner cabinet with all kinds of stuff gets reorganized.

There are two gas grills and a flat top out there, a patio table with umbrella and then the pool deck with umbrella and furniture. There's a firepit built into the concrete patio. Perennials all around the fence and the pool. But none as pretty as Beth's gardens. If I had my way there would be no grass in the backyard. All walkways and cottage garden then entire fencerow. DH says no, too much work… oh well. It's presentable enough. I'll post a picture when we're done.

HB, sorry about the mice. What a pain. Glad Mom is as stable as she is.

GG, I owe you pictures of your Grandson… then you can help me by naming him! My cardiology visit resulted in instructions to exercise. Apparently, goat herding, yardwork, housework and 23 grands/greatgrands isn't enough😒 So, I plugged in the treadmill and put a walking schedule together and a calendar to record heart rate, miles, speed, etc. I NEEDED one more thing to keep up with…🙄

Lorita, I'm glad Darwin had an extra barrel. We bought several last year, with lids, to store chicken and goat feed. They were only $5 each with lids!! A big bargain.

Carl, you know you need some jeans and boots to do the Boot Scootin' Boogie.

Ron, hope all your appointments go well.

Judith, prayers for your Sister and family situations.

Beth, I know if you would come here and explain to DH how much less maintenance my backyard plan would be, He would listen to YOU. I've shown him your beautiful gardens.

    Zetta, good to see you!

Eagle, your MIL sounds like my SIL… I'm sorry. dealing with manipulation and cray cray is exhausting.

Guess what??????? I am taking most of the day OFF!!! Getting a mani/pedi and plant shopping today!!

Plus getting an 11-year-old great-granddaughter packed for camp. I ordered her a bright pink sleeping bag and will be taking her and her sister shopping for summer clothes on Friday. I love taking my grands shopping for summer and school clothes. It's a really good bonding time for us.

OK, your storms will be heading my way tomorrow. Let's everyone be safe out and about. 💦💨💜

    Good morning!

JeriLynn, you are indeed one busy lady. Your patio and pool area sound so beautiful. I'm guessing you'll have a large gathering for Memorial Day. It's great how beautifully you bond with your grands. So sorry about your nanny goat. I know what losing a beloved pet feels like; I think all of us here do.

I built a new flower bed alongside the house. I tried to edge it simply with a spade but it just didn't look right. So we hired someone to come in and place a border; it looks like Iowa limestone slabs but due to cost it's actually cement made to look like limestone slabs. With the limestone, we would have been required to buy 2 pallets - $1300! And we wouldn't have used that so it would have been wasteful.

Lorita, it really is low to steal your garbage bin. I cannot think why anyone would do that. Glad Darwin helped you out. You two do a lot for each other. Good neighbors!

We had storm warnings last evening for about an hour. 7 pm - 8 pm - of course, it was when the Thunder game was on. Our local channel goes on air continuously when there are tornado warnings anywhere in the viewing area. So the channel did a split screen showing the weather man on one and the game (no sound) on the other. We got 1.8" of rain last night. That makes 3.2" since Saturday!

GG, my dad was at Pearl Harbor too but he wasn't serving in war time. I have a button (with a pin to place on your lapel) that says Pearl Harbor. Your workouts continue to inspire. Glad to see JeriLynn is getting on the workout train now too!

Zetta, you are keeping very busy. That is a good thing. It keeps you young! How are you liking Idaho?

Ron, I hope you are feeling better. Are you going to be working on new living arrangements after you recover from your surgery? As I recall, you talked about a cabin and you also talked about moving into a 55+ apartment/maybe a CCRC.

Judith good luck with the bagpipes. Seems like that would be a hard instrument to master. Do you play any other instruments?

Eagle, I am glad things went well with your dental work.

Carl, the dance sounds like fun. I'm glad you're getting out and enjoying yourself.

Iris, I told my hubby we should take the convertible and drive Route 66! It won't happen but it'd be enjoyable.

JeriLynn, I don't get any notifications of the group chat here. I just go into alzconnected.org, click on Discussion for Caregivers, click on Caring for a spouse or Partner and then it brings up the list of all the active discussions and I search for this one. Hope you can keep up with everybody; you are SO busy!

    Have a good day!

Good morning. It's a better one here— there is no evidence of any mouse activity. Fingers crossed it remains ever thus.

Carl— It was very gentlemanly of you to escort the lady home, but you need to be careful around the thirsty ladies.

I hope the roof project goes well and that your insurance company does right by you. I imagine the roofers will be busy. My roof is not huge and doesn't have any tricky gables; the roofers who stripped off the old and installed the new one were able to finish in about 4 1/2 hours— they were done by lunch.

I hope the new eye procedure works well for you. It's amazing what is being done around ophthalmology these days.

Judith— I hope the change of POA improves your sister's care and relieves you of the stress that goes with being powerless in a situation that isn't working for your LO. Will you be taking over or is someone else stepping up.

Eaglemom— Ugh on your MIL. You don't need the cray on top of everything else. DH had a great-aunt who probably rewrote her will monthly depending on how she was feeling about relatives. For a time, one of DH's friends (DH let him live with him M-F when he was newly married in law school and broke) in from high school/college was her attorney for years— for free— until he had enough and fired her. At the end of the day, she did disinherit those "kids" who moved out of state.

Ron— I hope your trip to the VA went well and that you were able to wrap up a bunch of appointments all at once. Is that the VA's idea of a spa day?

Lorita— Those casino names are pretty. They sound like racehorse names. The two nearest me are Parx (part of a racetrack complex) and Sugar House (built on the former Domino Sugar factory). I've not been to either except to drop mom and dad's cousin off for the afternoon.

Iris— Even though we don't have a hantavirus risk, I was pretty careful cleaning up.

Zetta— Cats are excellent mouse control even if they're not the hunting type. My last cat, a himmie who looked like a toy, was a very successful hunter. The downside was he would offer them as "gifts" to DS. He'd find them in his Legos or train layout routinely in the fall when the mice come in out of the cold.

Beth— DH enjoyed that book as well.

Gothic G— The pollen here has been next-level this spring, too. I took my car through the carwash Friday and it's completely covered again. We haven't had much rain, so doesn't wash off it just kind of sticks better.

Jerilynn— Your outdoor space sounds very inviting. Have fun shopping with the great-grands. Mom used to love to shop for and with my nieces when they were young but as they hit their tween and early teen years (and were living with my parents) mom would bribe me to take them in order to keep tempers from flaring. We usually had a good time.

    ____________________________________________________________________________

It's headed for the mid-90s today and the humidity is building. DS has already mowed the lawn. I had an early morning blood draw. You know you're getting older when you have orders from multiple doctors. I completely flaked on the name of my hematologist which was embarrassing. I'm hoping my cholesterol improved; my LDL was borderline last time but I've been making better choices, so I hope it helped.

Mom's labs are all back. The tests were pretty niche and I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking at or even why the cardiologist ordered these specific tests. The tests seem to be related to amyloidosis and myeloma. Often when she's had labs, his NP will send a message through the portal with a short note to the effect of "lab values are stable". I'm curious to hear what he'll have to say when we see him next month.

Primary Day here in PA. There's not a lot on the ballot locally, but we'll vote. I should probably drive mom to vote; her polling place is only 200 yards from her house but it's too hot for her to be out.

Thanks all. I do not feel powerless but figuring out what to do and find good Drs and getting the one niece removed takes time but all is done by phone so distance does not matter. I fear she is circling the drain….she looks bad and is not eating much of anything.

The rush is to get changed made to the DPOAs before a possible diagnosis of dementia.

New Dr today for me ( old Dr retired ). Hope it will not be pouring when I go.

Thank you, HB. I am actually developing some skills for protecting myself from thirsty ladies. By virtue of outliving most of the competition, I find myself in demand. However, one of the advantages of having been a caregiver for several years is a strong desire to not be owned by anyone, and that helps keep me safe. If nothing else, I am not accustomed to being cared for by a woman, so I'm not desperate to find another.

My house was built to look like a storybook cottage, white stucco with a roof that looks like slate. It has some steep roof angles and an eyebrow window, so I don't want just any roofer to work on it. I have hired a company that has been in business here for 55-60 years and did a good job for neighbors, so I have reason to hope the roofing project will turn out OK.

The casino to which Ron is going tomorrow is called Riverbend, and the one next month is called Downstream. I think both are on the Spring River, which was featured in "The Outlaw Josey Wales" in which Josey (Clint Eastwood) shot the tow rope pulling a ferry of armed pursuers and sent them downstream. The senior center goes to other casinos in turn, I think including Buffalo Run. I have been only once and didn't care for it, but people who like it, like Ron, have a great time.

It's 66 degrees and cloudy here, after 85 and sunny yesterday and thunderstorms last night. More rain tonight, probably, which is good so long as it doesn't hail or blow too hard.

    Good afternoon.

Another big fire has begun in Los Angeles County, in Simi Valley, in the northwest area, now up to 1400 acres. 700 firefighters are on the job, don't want a repeat of last year.

Zetta, do you have to walk the 2 dogs or do you let them out in the yard? Taking care of pets does require some degree of time and effort. I find as my cats get older, they have greater nutritional needs.

Carl, I hope your laser treatments help your eyes. What made you decide to get the hearing aids? My hearing is diminished, but I don't think I'm ready for hearing aids yet.

Beth, your spy novel sounds very interesting. Wow, you have a convertible! Do you drive it in the summer? I owned a convertible, actually my ex-husband wanted it, a red convertible--it did not denote "family car". Where I live in SoCal, once in a while I will see a convertible on the street.

Your home is such a sanctuary, I don't think you would gain much by driving Route 66 at this time.

JeriLynn, I see a lot of effort goes into dressing your patio. You also have a backyard sanctuary. How nice!

Did your cardiologist make a generic exercise prescription, or do you have a specific exercise goal? Doing yard work and farm work and all the other activities you do sounds like a lot of exercise already.

HB, there used to be a huge Domino Sugar factory on the waterfront in Brooklyn when I grew up. Now it has been converted into condos. Your Domino Sugar is now a casino. One of my past times is watching YT videos about how Brooklyn used to be and seeing all the changes.

There used to be a neighbor cat who killed rats but would leave them in the grass. What a sight to see on getting ready to go to work.

Iris, I have difficulty hearing conversation with people who speak softly and use my phone on speaker most of the time, and the audiology testing showed "significant" hearing loss. One of our porch friends said hearing loss can lead to dementia because so much of the brain gets devoted to interpreting faintly heard sounds. Some of my best friends speak softly, and I don't want to be "dumbed down" any more than I already am, so I'm getting aids. Some people don't want hearing aids because they make us look old, but I have nothing to lose there (white beard, glasses, cane part of the time). Besides, hearing aids are less conspicuous than asking people to repeat themselves. DW's hair covered her ears well enough that her aids were virtually invisible. Mine will be visible unless I change my hair style, but I don't care.

Cats - Many years ago, our next-door neighbor had a cat named Tom who was quite a hunter. He was fond of DS and often left gifts on our front porch. Tom preferred the top half of his prey, and left DS the lower halves of mice, baby rabbits, and pigeons. This went on for years until DS acquired a car and parked it with a wheel on Tom's tail. Tom vocalized his displeasure, and DS exited the car saying "What's the matter, Tom?" DS promptly moved the car after he identified the problem, but their relationship was never the same after that.

Tom wasn't as smart as he looked. He lived in a house with three teenagers who drove and should have known to get his tail out of the driveway when he saw one coming.

Carl— When you get your hearing aids, will you be able to connect via Bluetooth to your smartphone? I did this with mom's, and it's been a game changer for her. It also allows her to hear the audio to the reels I send her.

Lorita -I'm glad the tornadoes aren't near you.

JeriLynn- I can't wait to see him!! Once I see him, a name will come to me.

I hear you about the exercise stuff. I think I posted awhile ago about how my doctor kept harassing me about eating a protein bar before a workout with my trainer. Finally I got fed up and gave her a list of what I do as part of my workout, and what I eat the rest of the day. I gave her a month's worth of data. I haven't heard a peep out of her since.

The treadmill isn't bad, but you make me tired listing all of the things you do! I'm glad you're taking today off and getting a mani-pedi. You deserve it!

Beth - I haven't gotten notifications on this site in awhile. It's disconcerting. It looks like no one is posting and then I get here and there are 10 posts!

HB - we literally have layers of pollen - on everything. I keep the air purifiers going!

Judith - I'm glad you aren't feeling powerless. I'm sorry you're going through this though.

Iris - I was reading about the fire in Simi Valley today. Not good, and absolutely do not want a repeat of last year.

Carl - On dumb cats …. Years and years ago, I had a cat named Fred (named by an ex-boyfriend) - dumbest cat I ever met. Sweet, sweet personality, but dumb as a rock. One afternoon Fred was sitting in the parking lot of my apartment complex. A car came through, the driver looking for a parking spot. He ran over Fred's tail. Left tread marks. Fred just sat there. 🤷‍♀️ He was fine, but still.

Today was gym, of course. Then a trip to Costco. We hadn't been there for several months, so we had a cart filled with stuff. The good news - we don't have to go back for several more months! 🙂

The pollen was relentless today. It was bad enough that I had itchy eyes - that rarely happens. It's very pretty out, but man, I'll be glad as we head into summer.

One of my friends, a retired soldier, told me the army had studied exercise pretty extensively and found that the best thing to rehydrate after a hard workout was milk with a little chocolate. Contains water, protein, etc.

    Good morning,

I now have my new hearing aids and can actually hear much better. I do have to get use to these, they are not as comfortable as the old ones and you can see more of them than the old ones. I even had to turn the tv way down, had volume set to 56 on the tv, now it’s set to 22! Go back in a month for my new teeth, they say these will be much better than what I have and should be able to eat with them.

I will be getting ready for my trip to the casino shortly and hopefully will not be crying coming back home. Tomorrow is the follow up with neurosurgeon and after him I have a appointment to tour one of the independent/assisted living facilities in Springfield.

Carl, you will have to teach me your tricks, I can’t get a woman to even look at me. Seems like I’ve turned a very shy individual in my later years. I use to have no problem with going up and starting a conversation with anyone, but it seems like I’ve developed a hard shell around me.

Good morning. Our heat wave should break this evening. Yesterday was brutal so early in the season.

I took mom to vote after I did. I offered to take her to the store if she needed anything and she asked to go to Ulta for an eyebrow pencil. She got herself that and a few other things. She seemed shorter of breath than usual. Her CHF seems to be progressing; we see her cardiologist on the 1st.

DH and I went out for burgers and while chatting with him a lightbulb went off. My niece spent 2 days at mom's at the end of last week. A few days before that, she'd visited her dad who was diagnosed with COVID a day or so later. I stopped by CVS for a kit and will test her this morning.

I hope all have a pleasant day.

Ron, it's just like visiting here, except in person. I sit down with a cup of coffee and talk with the men and women at my table. We discuss everything from childhood memories to where to get a good deal on a set of tires, share pictures of our pets and grandchildren, and so forth. I know you said you plan to rest Friday, but if you want to come to the senior center about 10:30 I'll introduce you. You can just sit and listen until you want to contribute to the conversation. You'll get used to us, we'll get used to you, and you'll become part of the group. We're having burgers and baked beans for lunch, but if you want to eat before you come no one will have a problem with it. Lunch is at 11:30, bingo at 12:30.

I'll be interested to hear what you find in the assisted living tour. I'll be downsizing at some point.

The next dance is June 13. There are more unaccompanied women than unaccompanied men. Hint.

Cloudy and cool this morning. Fed the birds and left peanuts. Went back and looked out the door and saw Rusty getting a peanut, shelling and eating it and going back for another So looks like Rusty and the blue jay are both eating peanuts. A few times when I would to go out on the porch a bird flew. Last year a barn swallow made a nest on one of the round Iight fixtures on the porch. Sadly the tiny birds fell out. It looks like she has made another nest in the same place. Bryon is going to paint the porches after Memorial Day so that will have to be postponed.

Something left his calling card on the bottom step, probably a raccoon. No idea why he would come in the yard to do that. Nothing can get under the house so no idea where he stays.. Heard cows bawling east of here, probably our girls. Will be glad when they come.home. I know they will be, too. About time to open the north doors of the barn.

HB, surely hope your mom doesn't have covid, last thing she,or you, need.

    GG, grandson?

No COVID. No Flu. No RSV. Phew.

She seemed a skosh perkier today— not her baseline by any means, but I feel better about seeing the cardiologist in 10 days. My Plan B is a hospital with Penn Cardiology north of me or downtown if she goes south instead of the one affiliated with her lung doc. We had a short chat about potential testing going forward so she'll be better prepared should he bring it up. She hasn't had a catheterization since 2020.

Off to meet my immunodeficient friend for lunch. She will only dine outside and it's already 89F. Pregaming with water as we speak.

    Hello Porch Friends.

Lorita. We have squirrels running around the fence and living in the trees in the back yard. They are babies, so I think they were born close. They seem to know our dogs and cats, as they run the fence line they chatter to our fur babies. We do have squirrel feeders in the trees for them. I can sit out there and they don't seem to be afraid of me.

Beth. Sure sounds like your reading a good book. Im very interested in the holocaust history and Anne Frank. I find those books to be very interesting. My DD and SIL and myself visited Poland, a few years ago and we toured a lot of the historic places, we went inside of the Anne Frank, house. I am liking Idaho, but I'm missing the home my kids have in Arizona, not the heat. The town we were in is small, Maricopa, so everything was pretty close together and I was comfortable driving around. Boise, is much larger so I don't drive much here.

GG. Yes my fur babies keep me pretty busy. I have a little chihuahua her mane is Molly, my daughter has a German shepherd, her name is Fiona. My one cat is Sammy. And her two cats are Timmy and Isabelle.

Iris. The dogs have a nice backyard they go out in. At times we do walk them when the weather is nice, but they are a pain in the you know what to walk, Molly has to pee on everything and Fiona is afraid of everything.

JeriLynn. I remember when I was a kid, my grandparents always had to get the back yard ready for summer. There was the pool to clean, the big build in BBQ to get ready the swings and slides set up for us kids, and the patio furniture set up for the adults. It seems like all the family was at our grandparents for the weekends. Enjoy shopping with your grandkids, they will have fond memories of shopping with grandma.

Ron. I hope your new teeth work for eating. I got my teeth pretty much the same time you got yours. I also had post put in for the bottom teeth. I hate them. I can eat with them I just hate putting them in and taking them out, so most of the time i just don't ware them.

HB. I also remember having a cat who gifted me with everything she caught. We lived close to a area where they were doing a lot of building, so all the mice ran to our house. It's good news that your mom's testing all came back good, you are so good to her. Enjoy lunch with your friend.

The weather here has been nice, I'm glad because we have started BBQing. We have been getting lots of wind, but rest of this week will be good.

Your all in my prayers, Hugs Zetta
