In Home care recommendations

Mom is diagnosed with dementia. We need some in home help and want to go with an agency but it's hard to know where to start. Looking for any recommendations you all have for in home agencies. We don't need a lot yet but will need more soon I think. Companionship, light meals and respite for her partner- the full time caregiver.

    Thank you for sharing…you’re doing the right thing by planning ahead. We went through something similar, and finding the right agency can make a huge difference. I’d recommend looking for ones that specialize in dementia care and offer flexibility as needs change. Also, don’t hesitate to ask for a trial period or to meet the caregiver first. You might check with your local Area Agency on Aging…they can often give recommendations based on your location. Wishing you strength and support as you navigate this. You’re not alone.
