David, we always voted in person, too. Our polling place was just three miles away but they've moved it 14 miles away, in town. Just easier to do absentee, did that four years ago, too.

Lorita, the kitten is two months old. You are right about how comforting fur babies are; particularly in dark times. I can't believe the joy this kitty has brought to my life! I know it's my LO xo

Yes. Lots of tornado warnings south.of us but it looks like they will

Go to.our east. Heavy, heavy rain right now. I have the cats in the bathrooms , well they were in there by a stove. Have the leashes on the GPsin case we need to go on the bathroom. It's in the .Middle of the house with no windows. We have a big cellar just outside the backdoor but too scary by myself and I would never get the cats and GPs down there. Maybe when this line of storms get through it will settle down.

OUR weatherman is a rancher and lives just south of Tulsa. He has gotten 5" so far. This afternoon we had gotten about 3".

Darwin said he has worked on his barn doors all

Afternoon and can't get them.fixed They're closed and his pickup is inside. He called Toad to stop by in the morning to see what they can do. A few years ago our big doors blew off and another time one got off its track.

Still raining hard. The ground is soaked up so will get runoff in the ponds and Darwin's creek now. The tv reception is off because of the rain.. The direct guy said it can be fixed to come through the internet without interruption. Maybe before next spring and our storm season.

My.phone went.off a few minutes ago with tornado warning in our area. It did that early, early this morning when I was sleeping. Scared the heck.out of me.

Judith, be careful. Tv just came back on!

The band was good at the VFW last night, but i had to leave after 1 hour. A lady in a wheelchair was on the dance floor and holding hands with a partner just swaying back and forth to the music. Reminded me to much of Lou and I. Seems like I take 1 step forward lately and 3 steps back.

Lorita, stay safe from the tornado!

In CA registered voters received a ballot by mail. I could have mailed it back or placed in a ballot box, but I chose to go to a voting center to drop off my ballot. I can track it to see when it is collected and counted.

CaroLynne, if you stroke the kitty a lot, that will hasten bonding. Does kitty have a name yet?

Friends, I misled you about the scarecrow. I didn't make one this year. I was just trying to make a joke - the scarecrow was "out standing in the field."

Raining hard here in SW MO too, with thunder and flood warnings.

I saw terrible tornado damage in OK online. Judith, Lorita, are you ok?

We had 2" of rain from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. We'd had 1.5" last week as well. I hope all who need rain receive it and for those who don't, it ends.

Praying Judith and Lorita are OK. Eastern Oklahoma had severe weather last night and will have more today.

Iris, I named her Stevie, after my LO; they share the same birth date ❤️

Mint, HB how are your moms? xo

I'm hoping those is the way of dangerous weather are OK this morning.

Mother Buzzed seems well enough to have decided to tackle her kitchen drawers. I made a few organizational suggestions like "why not put the pot holders near the stove?" and "do you really need to store the owner's manuals to every appliance you own in a kitchen drawer when you have a perfectly good nearly empty filing cabinet?". I did purge the manuals on the appliances that came with the house not long after she replaced them.

She was 88% on room air buzzing about yesterday which isn't ideal but she's hellbent on avoiding becoming oxygen-dependent and her pulmo says not to focus so much on O2 levels. So long as her cognition seems OK for her, I'll let it ride. She has a visiting nurse today. The RN called me last night because mom didn't recognize the number and hung up on her. We'll see how that goes. Tomorrow, she has her 6-week post-op checkup for her bladder sling which may be her favorite thing since her dental implants.

I flaked on a friend's birthday and need to get her a gift. I went to Talbots and didn't see a thing I liked. Not my mom's daughter, I guess.

Morning, all is okay here. Thanks, everyone for your prayers and concern. Most of the really bad weather was just south of me. I did see that OKC had a tornado somewhere in Town but I think it was away from Judith. Severe weather forecast for this afternoon. No rain for months, then all of this and severe weather. Clash of the seasons in the southern plains.

Now our problem is we have no water. Sandy, I got the dishes done, then the water went off. Toad came by and fixed Darwin's barn doors and told him he was going to.help fix the water problem. Something broke way down deep with.the.big water line. Everyone in this area gets water from the Lake. Might be back on by evening. Just talked with D. And he was down at the. Reek getting water to flush. Now to let you know the kind of neighbor he is, he wanted to know if he could bring me some water.

Just saw the weather- the warm front is moving north and 60 miles south of here it's already 79 so that will add to.chance for severe storms. Hope it doesn't materialize

Our Genera came in handy Saturday night. Too. Didn't know power was off until I came in the LR and heard it running. Wish we would have hait 30 year ago. We used to.be out of power for two or three weeks sometimes. Talked with friend Carol and they had tornados closeby Sat. Night. We were under a warning in this area for quite a while. We have had rain and sun this morning. Don't need more rain or storms for now.

Just talked with a man at the water dept. I know about another matter and he said he has water. Pressure is building up now. He said they had had a massive pipe break. Checked ours and we have water! Will let it run a while before I use it.

Several tornadic areas around., North and southwest. All the meteorologists and storm chasers are out this afternoon. Do you all have storm chasers in your States? They just mentioned storms coming into our County

I was just going to check on you Lorita. We've got the high winds and blowing rain. We're in a tornado watch until this evening. Ugh. Its this front coming through that's causing all of this disturbance.

    Be safe everyone.

We're having tornado watches and warnings in SW MO today also. My brother owned a house in Joplin once, but it went away when three tornadoes locked arms and walked across Joplin a few years back. His wife and dog rode it out in the bathtub while the roof and front wall of the house disappeared. Scary.

Eagle, be careful. Our temp is down to 71 now. We've had lots of rain. The girls were all gathered out front which kind of worried me but they've moved off to graze. Watching them is a good thing to do. Raining hard again. Tornados north, Northwest and south of us. Had the Cats and GPs in the bathroom while I watched the weather. Just issued a tornado warning for a town about 15 miles north of Carol. Also a warning for Lake Tenkiller where one of Carol's daughter lives.

I let the kids out of the bathroom. When I was growing up we would go to the cellar, usually in the middle of the night. Daddy would get all of us down in there and then stand on the steps and watch the clouds. Brings back memories. Many times we would hear a knock on the slanted door and it would be our neighbors from half a mile away.

Carl, watch out. Storms are coming your way.

I know. I can see the big clouds in the west. We built our house with a safe room and a Generac. Weather is like a box of chololates, you never know what you're going to get.

So true, Carl. You know most of my hometown was blown away in a tornado about 1917. They say it was a thriving town until then, and growing. I think we may be out of the woods. Still having , low , heavy thunder and it is dark but I can see light on the western horizon. Lots of small limbs in the yard from the wind and there is water everywhere. I am sure the road north of us is flooded. What a day!!

Carl, sounds like you all will be safe. D. Has a saferoom and has told me to come over anytime but I could never get all the kids there.

So glad to hear those in storms path are OK; must be so scary! I lived in Miami during hurricane Andrew and the winds sounded like trains. My townhouse community on a lake had tornadoes go through it and every tree in the community was uprooted. My neighbor's roof was blown off, every car window was shattered and I thought we were going to die so I can relate somewhat to what you are going through.

Mint thanks for checking in. She's out of the hospital right? I think I remember she's in rehab? I keep you and your sister in my prayers as this must be so difficult for you xo
