my DW has rapid Demetia, she is in late stage. Which is challenging enough, trying desperately to get some respite relief which I have been granted 12 hours a mont( which are now cancelled due to the Fact, we both now have Covid… DW doesn’t have the severity of symptoms as I do. I am trying to get to the hospital ASAP for treatment. As my oxygen has also dropped into the low 90-94% on oxygen. My DW had plummeted yesterday for about an hour at 92%. What will the drs do? I don’t have that many I can ask to sit with her? Reading ligature its advises I be with her 24/7 If she Is admitted? What can I do to get her the amo7ntvof 24/7 care she needs while I recover from covid?

If you both need treatment, go to the ER by ambulance and they will sort it out. My husband was in just overnight with Covid in March. Please take care of the both of you.

While I can't fully appreciate your predicament I can regarding ER visits and taking not only my DW who is in late stages and mom who was in moderate stages when my mom was alive to the ER because I couldn't find anyone to watch one or the other so off I go with both. Sitting in the waiting room for hours hoping and praying they don't get into it with each other or begin acting out. I've never felt so much anxiety in my life.

When I take my DH to the ER, the hospital has a sitter with him (usually a CNA) when I have to leave. You might ask if your hospital has sitters that can stay with your wife while you are being treated.
