Eagle, Madison is so cute. Shih Tzus are so sweet and smart. Barcode liked to go shopping, too. I really miss him. He got along with the god and he could walk under them.

Do not stop googling, Judith. You provide us with good information. This was a bit confusing - in one place it said Senokot could reduce diverticulitis and in another not. Probably should discontinue it though. Peas-:the somewhat tough skin on them. Ordered early, small ones this time.

Do you think I should call the Administrator? I don't believe I have ever talked with her, or him but maybe when she was admitted or before. Do you know the Adm., maybe met her when you visited?

There were several tornados yesterday with lots of damage in all locations. Darwin's tree is okay but said the wind blew his south front door open and the wind was so strong he had trouble closing it. Guess it wasn't latched. The only damage I saw here was a broken limb in one of the maples. Almost time for my delivery so will stop for now.

    Just checking in.

Eagle your Madison looks like my LO's late Sangria - she is adorable!

Lorita think of you often and pray you will be getting better. My mom's doctor suggested she take Konsyl daily fiber gummies, I got them for her on Amazon. This is what I bought her but Konsyl offers a variety of products that may assist your fiber intake.

JeriLynn I love the pictures you post of your menagerie of farm animals. How I would love to live on a farm!

Iris I know you are traveling so may not see this. Hope you are enjoying your trip and was very sorry to read about Seven :-(

Judith, you are on a roll posting those beautiful pictures! I see a life well lived with your DH and a beautiful family that cares for you. I can only dream of having plants like yours!

Sandy hope you are better. How scary what you experienced.

Has David been around? I fear he is progressing and may not know how to find us or even remember us. Breaks my heart.

Mint, Zetta, HB, Carl, Ron, Beth, GG - hope yo0u are all well! xo

Thanks Caro Lynn, I do feel better tonight. It just takes a while to get through this. I will check on that medicine.

Judith, I read Kraut has a lot of fiber and I have some In the refrigeraor and I like it!

Time to go to sleep. Good night everyone.

Enjoyed our visit, Sandy. Hope you're still improved tomorrow. Sleep tight.

Still weak and watery. But, fed Max, Lilly and Sammy. I had cream of wheat, toast , OJ/CB juice and tea. Then scrambled some of the older eggs for Sheena and Stormy ,(they love those). Now they're outside in the sunshine. Gave the GPs Prednisone and Max probiotics and I took my Flagyl. Oh, gave Rusty his apple slices, peanuts and sunflower seeds and fed the birds. I am bushed.

Need to go to the mailbox to mail a couple of things but tomorrow will do. Talked briefly with Carol. She and Bill were on their way to Tahlequah for lunch with one of her daughters. She said they were out of power for 26 hours and had some tree damage. Power poles and big trees and limbs are down everywhere. She said Fort Gibson had a lot of damage. They could see some as they passed by on the highway. Guess you can't go through town.

I'm supposed to take the GPs for a followup ear check tomorrow but don't think I can do it. I will look at their ears and see how they are.

You could not ask for a prettier day but they always are after storms. Did I mention we had 3" of rain? Back later.

Later: I just repotted my sweet potato vines. Guess I can put the pot on the north porch railing,- hope Rusty doesn't find them. The hanger is broken but might be able to make one.

While I was sitting on the porch I heard buzzing and saw a hummingbird close to the feeder. I put food in it a couple of weeks ago and it's almost gone but had never seen a hummingbird. Will have to make more food for them.

Plugged in the DynaTrap and the light worked but not the motor. Ordered another from QVC. We have used them for years and they really work.

There's a cow standing in the edge of the pond. No idea why - would check if I had the Gator. She may have a calf staked out nearby. All the others came to the barn earlier. May take a nap later.

I made the mistake of answering the phone today. I know better, but I was on the way out the door to make advance funeral arrangements and they spoofed the caller ID of the hospital DW was in last month, and I answered it. It was just a recording asking me to call a number (not that of the hospital billing section) to discuss "an urgent financial matter." Of course, I didn't call but it worries me. I get older every day and the scammers call every day. I feel like an old bull elk on "Nature" with the wolf pack waiting for me to weaken. However, it angered me enough to visualize handcuffing the miscreants to a fence post well away from the road and leaving them there, so it lessened my stress a little.

At least I have the funeral planned and don't have to deal with it for a while, so I can quit worrying about it. Got new glasses today and told them yes, I do need an itemized receipt, since I will definitely be itemizing medical expenses at tax time this year.

There was a pretty bad car wreck across the street from the optician. Crushed cars, ambulances, etc. If you love someone, tell them today. You or they might not be here tomorrow.

Lorita, I have heard you should change the sugar water in hummingbird feeders every day or two, or it will spoil.

On the bright side, it is a lovely day and the honeysuckle is in bloom. I going to go out and soak up a little more sunshine before the rainy weekend that's forecast. Take care, friends.

Quiet on the porch today. We drove to the town I grew up in and went to the cemetery and placed flowers on my parents' and grandparents' graves. The peonies on their graves were in full bloom and I dug some up to transplant in my garden (I left plenty; some of those plants are over 40 years old). Here is what some of the flowers look like - made me a little bouquet. 😊

Also…the ice cream truck is driving around our neighborhood right now. It plays tunes to attract the children to come out and buy something good to eat. They stopped right in front of our house and there were 3 young boys trying to figure out what they wanted to eat.

That's beautiful, Beth. Lovely blooms nicely arranged. My peonies are just about gone. We are 200-300 miles south of you, so they bloomed earlier.

Hi, Carl, I get several phone calls everyday from numbers I don't recognize. I don't answer any calls except the ones on my contact list. If it's something important, they can leave a messsage. I just put fresh sugar water in the hummingbird feeder Glad you got the arrangement made. It's really a hard thing to do when the time comes. I have yet to write my obituary or get my clothes to the funeral home.

Beth, those peonies are so pretty. I love the color. I bought a geranium this year that is the same color. It's been in the house and not doing too well so put it out on the porch today. May bring it inside to keep it from Rusty. Carol still has a plant they got when her dad passed away, probably 40+ years ago and it Still blooms. It's one of those that bloom around Mother's Day with the big blooms.

I'm kind of tired although I did take a short nap. Going to bed and watch TV. Have a good evening everyone. Good night.

Wanted to tell you all - the cow I was watching today does have a new white faced baby. Was out on the porch and saw her across the pond. Watched and saw the baby stand up. The others are not close so maybe she will take get baby closer or they might come back in this pasture. Sandy, remember all the coyoyes we heard last night? Maybe they will go a different direction tonight.

    Good night again. Sleep tight.

OK, I'm back again. I have posted so much today. There are two babies over across the pond. Remember earlier I posted there were two cows? Now, there's one cow with her calf and the other baby is about 100 yds. away by itself but the girls are coming off the hill so I have to think the mom is going to come to the baby. I think she has put the baby down because it hasn't moved. I will worry until morning when I see two new babies. If I told Mike he would tell me that cow knows where her baby is and will go to her baby. Hope it happens. Good night.

Don't worry, Lorita. You keep telling us mothers take care of their babies, and I know it's true.

The sun is down and the thunder and rain have come. Farmers around here are already baling hay and the corn is 6" tall, so we're having a good year so far.

    Sleep tight, everyone.

HB - Oh yes, the getting "ma'am-ed." That's happened to me a couple of times, but it's rare. I'm not quite sure why it doesn't happen more often. Maybe it's because I dyed my hair purple?

Zetta - I am 100% sure Peggy would approve of me giving her class ring to M. It makes me really happy every time I think of it. I'm seeing him in a couple of weeks and can't wait to give it to him.

JeriLynn - I was also going to ask about the straw on GG's ears, but HB beat me to it. And now I know.

I'm glad the tornadoes stayed up in the air and away from you.

eaglemom - Madison — so very cute!

Lorita and Caro_Lynne - I love Barcode and Sangria as names!! And thinking good thoughts about the babies, Lorita.

Carl - I get a lot of spam calls too. What I've done is put my close friends and family in my "favorites" list (on an iPhone), and then put my phone on "do not disturb". The spam calls come in, but my phone doesn't ring so I don't hear them. I can then delete them at my leisure. Anyone who isn't in my favorites list will likely leave a message and I'll call them back.

Beth - your flower arrangement against the white/black/gray background is striking. They just pop.

I'm getting things done around here, which is good. Yesterday afternoon I did my DJ hour. I chose an hour of disco music - mostly because disco is just happy music (don't tell anyone, I could lose my goth card over this). I'd forgotten how much I like the Santa Esmeralda cover of Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. It's kind of a salsa/disco sound. And it doesn't hurt that he's cute and has great '70s dance moves. 😄

I went to the gym today and got to use the earthquake bar. I love that thing so much. Then home, and have been working all day. We've been promised sun for tomorrow!

I hope you all have a great evening.

That was good, GG. His dancing girls have some good dance moves too!

I don't post links, but if you go to Youtube and look for Jeanne Robertson "Don't Bungee Jump Naked" you might laugh out loud like I did. Her stories are family friendly and a hoot!

    Good morning,

Up at 2 am again, but I was thrashing around in my dream state like a crazy woman so I just got up.

Today is chicken salad/croissant day for a Women's meeting at church.

I really did not get squat done yesterday. Well, I mean I did the floors, made the bed, cut some wildflowers and sorted some stuff in our garage cleaning project. But what I really did was visit with the 6-year-old great grand. We fed chickens, I held Speck so she could pet her, we fed cookies to the goats and rode the 4-wheeler and golf cart. She was fascinated by the shrimp plant. We had juice boxes, treats and Barbies. And we made plans for another visit Saturday. It was a fun day and I enjoyed myself.

GG and HB: "Oh yes, the getting "ma'am-ed."". Down here, children who answer with only a "Yes" will likely get a side-eye and a "Yes WHAT??" with a bit of tone from their Mama. It's a southern thing, I guess. I've never been strict about that with my children while we were inside our home, but in dealing with folks outside the family, we hold to that custom. For us, it's manners and respect.

Wonder what Iris is up to? Hopefully she is having a wonderful trip.

That chicken salad is not going to make itself, so I'll go get that done real quick. I'll be back later to visit. Hold my seat. 👩‍🍳

    good morning

Lorita glad you got to see a hummingbird. Wil probably be a while before we see them here.

Yes Carl we may not even be here a hour from now.

Beautiful peonies Beth. The ones I inherited are about that color. They’re full of buds and my irises are starting to bloom but it’s a very rainy season and that’s typically what happens so I don’t know if I’ll get to enjoy or not. may just have their shattered petals to clean up

Seems like you guys are into summer. Not here, it’s rainy, It’s cool. My plants are all sitting on the porch.

I believe today is JoC’s birthday. So JoC if you are still reading, I wish you a happy birthday.🎂💐

Good morning my fellow porch rockers and rockettes. The other day the AC guy called at 4:00 saying he wasn't going to make it. I understand, but I waited all afternoon for him. The next time he can "schedule" me is May 30th. When I just went hmm, he said he's really booked full. I just said apparently so since my appt had been set for 6 months and its not happening today. I think he understood my undertone. Likewise, the termite inspection didn't happen, the guys wife "needed something." I didn't even reschedule that one. These are big major companies I'm dealing with, I'm just about ready to give my business to small independent hard working companies who have good reputations.

So the question is, will the guy who is putting in a new fence show up today? I guess he has a 50 / 50 chance of showing!!

Time for another load in the dryer, play time for the pup and then Zoom. Back later. Let's be safe everyone.

Morning. Wish I could see a cornfield or cotton patch. None around here now but I was raised with both. You haven't lived unless you've picked cotton or pulled bolls or picked corǹ.. Might add hauled hay and bucked bales. Small bales are almost a thing of the past.

Guess the baby's mom came and picked him up. Several does were over there. Now they are on their way to the barn. Carl, when you know me better you will learn that I am a worrier, got it from grandma and mother..

GG, our Shih Tzu's name was Barclee. For some weird reason my tablets change it to barcode.

I was awakened st 3 this morning by three loud bangs. Got up and looked around and outside the window, nothing. Got back in bed and heard another little bang. Stormy was laying close to the dresser so decided he was dreaming and kicking (chasing rabbits). I have seen him do that many times.

This is my last day of medicine. Feeling much better but still not back to normal. Takes a couple of weeks.

Wish we could know how Jo is. Happy Birthday.

Sandy, hope you are still improving. Please post and let us know.

Enjoy the day before more storms.

Starting to make plans for my move, which is becoming increasingly hard to do. Finally call a apraser to find out what it's worth. He will be here Monday and once I get that I'll have a realtor to have a estate sell and hopefully sell it before I change my mind. I still feel bad about moving, but also know it's for the best.

Carl, I believe you said one time once I moved you would buy me a cup of coffee. Springfield or Buffalo is close to me, so either would work. Also, anytime I need something that the VA in Springfield can't handle, I would drive to VA in Arkansas. Who knows, I'll even be close to Oklahoma, we could all have a front porch reunion in neutral grounds.

Ron…It is a big change for you with more than one moving part but I believe that the move is going to be a plus for you and wouldn't it be great to have coffee together. I would join you but Springfield is about 7 hours for me driving on "the big road". Carl is closer as is Lorita. Just think…you will see beautiful fall trees come October.
