Carl, doctors order a lot of tests, but don't seem to have much to offer afterwards. Medicare was supposed to offer physical therapy to maintain the patient's current degree of mobility. Even passive range of motion exercises done by someone else can maintain mobility and flexibility of joints and relieve pain. If she is mostly bed-bound, you might ask about an air mattress or a mattress designed to relieve pressure points.

Glad you had a good trip and are home safely, JeriLynn. Did you all like the RV? Have a hood time in Fort Worth. We went to a wax museum somewhere around Fort Worth years ago. It was creepy to me but the figures were lifelike. Would.not like to go to another.

Do any.of you know which is better- Easy Spirit or Skechers tennis shoes? I need something that is well padded in the ball of the foot because of Morton's Neuroma. Never worn either of them. Also need a mule because of the string injury to my Achilles tendon. I bought a couple of pairs from WM years ago and they were great but nonger available.

    Happy April Fools Day.

Ron. Happy Anniversary, to both you and Lou. She will be with you forever. I still talk to Dan, and sometimes he talks to me. Your in my prayers, please take care of yourself.

Barbara. I love your bookcover, it is so inviting, not only to read but to go to the beach. And Digger, is precious.

H.B. your so good to your Mom. Hopefully things slow down some for you, and give you time for yourself. I also like the burrito bowl, from Chipotles I had one a few nights ago. I'm glad you and your DH, enjoyed the Sports Pub, it good to get out anytime you can.

Beth. Thanks for the reminder about falls. We all need reminders. I have to remember to slow down when I walk, I always seem to be in a hurry.

Carl. It's good to get a handicap parking permit, especially now that your getting a wheelchair. I'm sure you both will enjoy walking in the park, take a lunch with you and have a picnic. Outdoors will be good.

JeriLynn. Sounds like you and your DH, will start taking short trips. I prefer hotels, over camping. I'm not a camper, but I don't like bugs. I bet your babies, were glad to see you. I would have loved to see that video. Thanks for trying.

It sounds like a lot of us are getting wind. I'm not sure if wind is normal for Arizona, but we're getting a lot of it.

My daughter talked me in to going to yoga. So today is or first class, for beginners. She got me a yoga mat and a bag to carry it in and some yoga socks. Hopefully I have no problem's getting up and down off the floor.

    Hugs to all, Zetta

Zetta. I would never be able to do yoga I don't think. I took a tai chi class that was on TV and talk about being sore. You wouldn't think slow movements would make you sore.

Went to the mailbox and saw a cow across the pond with a brand new baby. Something started toward it and she ran it off. I think it was a buzzard. Got in the PU and dove to her, across the fence. All but on e Cow was a quarter mile away. I to!d her to get the baby up and go to the barn. She did - she is one of our cows so she knew what I said. Finally got them to the barn, gave her some hay and let the other, older cow in with her. Baby was maybe half an hour o!d. She wou!d walk a little way, then lay down to rest. I have walked brand new ones a quarter mile to the barn. Hops they stay in the barn because we're supposed to have rain and bad weather the next few hours.

We also are expecting rain/thunderstorms. The meteorologist on tv said we should go to bed early, because we could get woken up between midnight and 2 a.m. with the storm.

I was outside a lot today and it was windy and chilly and later, raining. I planted blueberry bushes, weeded, etc. Also I have some small arborvitae to remove and I got all but the trunk on the first one. We'll need the chain saw to finish the job.

    Stay safe.

    Hey there everyone —

HB - I was the kid who read everything too.

Carl - what kind of a wheelchair does your DW have? We had Peggy in a transport wheelchair for quite some time, and it wasn't that hard to push her. I can't honestly say that pushing her contributed much to my exercise… She kind of liked being shuttled through the halls though, so that was an unexpected plus.

JeriLynn - I'm glad the storms missed you! Nice hotels are nice hotels, I'm a fan. I hope you guys have a great trip. Actually I like camping quite a lot, but my guy does not. I got him to go once. Even with Burning Man, he stays in an RV, I stay in a tent. He'll tell you that his view of camping is where the hotel stops serving room service at 10pm.

Beth - oh my gosh, I had no idea about your DH. I'm glad he's still able to get around somewhat.

Lorita - I've never worn Easy Spirit shoes, but I like Sketchers. I used to wear them all the time. My sister was a fan of them as well.

Zetta - I've been contemplating a yoga class. I go to the gym, but I think I could benefit from increasing my flexibility.

So here's a question for all of you…. Do any of you get those ads in the physical mail for "have dinner on us - listen to this presentation on (insert topic here)? I've gotten three of them in the last couple of weeks. I'm not sure what list I'm on now… maybe one for people 65 and older? Who knows.

GG, I don't have a wheelchair yet, but it will be the kind you can fold up and put in the trunk. The greater exercise will be that I can keep moving instead of spending most of my time standing still waiting for my wife to catch up. Step, stop, step, stop isn't much of a walk. The doctor offered to order a wheelchair after watching her walk, when we were in to see about her having fallen three times in two days. Slow and steady wins the race, slow and unsteady gets run over in the parking lot.

Yes, GG, we get those ads frequently. A lot of them are for replacement windows, estate planning, and other things that are targeted at seniors. I don't know where they get our names, but there are data mining services that collect lists like that for sale to such companies. There is no privacy anymore. Whether you live in Seattle or in Toad Suck, Arkansas, anyone who cares knows if you missed church.

Lorita, I have worn New Balance 608 sneakers for many years, ever since I fell and injured my left foot. NBs have removable insoles, so I can put in the custom orthotic that supports my arch. The orthotic is thicker than the standard insole, so I put both standard insoles in the right shoe to level them up and avoid strain to my hip. You can order them direct from New Balance dot com. Then you can get some Dr. Scholl's gelfoam insoles to pad them, because with the standard insoles removed you have plenty of room. I can't answer your question directly, as I have never tried Easy Spirit or Skechers.

My doctor has recommended yoga, but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe I can find an afternoon yoga class. Some of the preachers around here say you'll go to Hell for practicing yoga, but I don't believe that. The same people think Mother Teresa is in Hell for being Catholic, and I don't believe that either.

GG, I was invited to a "luncheon" that was supposed to be about cremation. I sat through the entire presentation but ordered only a coffee. When I got up to leave without signing up, the presenter seemed annoyed. I left $2 on the table for my coffee and walked out. I never go to those things anymore.

Good morning. It's sunny and chilly on my end of the porch. I suspect frost will have ruined some of the flowering tree's displays. They seem early this year. My magnolia seems a month early and the ornamental cherry is a good 2-weeks ahead of schedule. Both are just now starting to bloom. I think my forsythia have all died— I got nothing this year. The HOA sent a crew to clear 5' to their fence and I suspect they were damaged. They planted them, so probably no recourse for me. I need to get a hold of a landscaper for mulching and check to see if my mower needs servicing.

Carl— When I asked mom's PCP for a handicapped parking placard, he said he thought the DMV should mail them as an 80th birthday gift. I don't always use it, but it's been handy when needed.

It's surprising how often mom's roommate in the hospital is there because of a fall. There was one a few years ago whose leg went through the floor of a wooden vestibule added to her historic home— she was trapped for 2 1/2 days before she was found. That's when mom ordered the medical alert pendant she never wore.

Mom's friend had the same fall your SIL had only she was preparing to take a shower and didn't have a robe in arm's reach. On the plus side, it was enough to convince her and her DD that she needed to move to AL. IMO, this should have happened years ago as she has significant mobility issues and couldn't get out of her condo in an emergency.

Iris— Mom's community has a little library in the clubhouse. They also have a take one/leave one box. I use it for donations of general interest books DH is culling from his library.

Jerilynn— I hope your DH survives his hotel stay. I joke that my idea of camping is a Holiday Inn. But actually, I've camped a lot. My parents had a small RV they parked near the beach in the summer when I was a teenager. I loathed it— it was like being trapped in a ham can with them and my obnoxious sister. I did enough tent camping with DS's scout troop that I was on the list to be "tapped out" for Order of the Arrow. I'm like Gothic— I'd rather be in a tent.

Lorita— Sketchers "memory foam' styles are pretty squishy. I bought a slip-on pair when I stayed at mom's for a week after the October hospitalization. She'd got a concrete slab foundation that was really hard on my joints. They don't have as many mules as they used to carry. There are some slingbacks.

Lady Z— I hope you enjoy your yoga. I do a little at home following a youtuber named Adrienne. I feel really good after. There are also chair yoga options although they aren't necessarily "easier". I did a chair version meant to spare kneeling and wrist support that I really felt the next day.

Beth— I hope you got through the storms unharmed and without a loss of mess to clean up.

Gothic G— OMG. My mailbox is full of those large postcards. I think it's a 65-70ish mailing list. DH is 78 and hasn't gotten one in several years. Nearly all of them are for financial planning or funeral pre-planning. The investment firms offer dinner at a high-end steakhouse (Capital Grille) where the funeral homes offer lunches a nice local restaurant. Mom, on the other hand, gets lunch offers from the nicer area CCRCs. She lives in a 55+ Active Adult Community which acts as a feeder for such places. She'd like to look at a few just in case which I think is a splendid idea although I already know which I'd suggest having already looked.

    ______________________________________________________

Today is the final medication dose. Woot! I was led to believe today would be, but evidently not. The PICC gets pulled tomorrow instead of before mom's haircut. I hope a fresh cut makes it look a bit fuller and that stopping the medication slows the hair loss. She is quite unhappy right now. I wanted to take her for a pedi, but she doesn't want to because her derm told her to lay off the polish and she doesn't see the point unless she can have shiny nails.

Yesterday she presented me with a pair of white pants that need hemmed. They're Talbots from a thrift sale clearance. I declined to do it. They're tricky with a lining and tapered leg. She's tricky with fit challenges from scoliosis. She wants to know which dry cleaner/tailor I use. Ugh. I rarely buy things I can't wear off-the-rack. I found a woman who does bridal/prom alterations with good reviews but she's not really local to either of us, so I get to add that to my list of "jobs mom is creating for me". I mean, the woman has more clothing than she can fit in all of the closets/dressers of a 2 BR house. She has at least 4 pair of white pants— winter white wool, cropped cotton twill, 2 pair of jeans minimum and some flowy linen.

    I do need a vacation.

    Everyone seems so busy.

I went to one of those freelunch/dinners. One was fine. The other they shut the doors. It was a little scarey.

I loved to camp. Hiked Bridger up tp 14K feet with 40pounds on my back. Dick would camp with an orange electrical cord so the tent would have a light and music. One time we took the children and it was dark by the time we got to the camp ground. He was having a njghtmere putting up the rented tent. I told him to put it up like they had it in the store. His reply? Well Judith. IN the store they just hooked it onto the carpet. One of his funnier moments.

David,,,is that a hotel you look at out of your window?

    Chair exercise is exercise!!!

    Good afternoon

Got out of my normal routine this morning.

JoAnns here was quite disappointing. Seems like the just had same boring fabric over and over.

JeriLynn glad your weather wasn’t too bad.

They’re not giving nice weather for here today. We’ve already been having thunderstorms and lightning. They had a hail warning, but I did not see or hear any yet. Here we have flash flood warnings and it looks like gonna be around for from what I can tell through Friday. We shall see . My hyacinths are just starting to show their blooms. I hope it doesn’t ruin them. My Scillas are blooming. They can be sort of invasive, but they’re easy to deal with. So a couple years ago I only brought one or two from my mom‘s house and planted them. This year I have a handful of them so they’ll continue on and they’re really cute. They don’t last a long time, but they’re pretty.

Hi, stormy weather this morning, mostly North and south of us. There was damage in Owasso, just north of Tulsa and.lots of power poles down. Less than a quarter inch of rain. It is hot and humid now. More bad weather predicted for the next three days

Saw the new baby laying inside the corral with mom on the other side grazing. Then they came to feed. Mom wanted to go but didn't want to leave her baby. One of the guys drove down and there were a couple of cows and half a dozen or more little ones down here. They followed the truck back up to the feeding area. I saw mom leave the baby and go on and then saw him going on up. I hope he made it. He is less than a day o!d and that's a long walk through grass, weeds and water.

We never did go camping but once on our way to Eureka Springs, going north from I 40, we cooked breakfast at a rest area in the Ozarks.

Did notice that the thing the rollers on the big barn doors came loose and the door is hanging. That will have to be fixed.

Thanks for the information about the tennis shoes. I hadn't even thought about insoles. I need to put on a shoe with a back to see if I can wear them.now.

I think I heard last night that funding has been cut off for all Alzheimer's programs and 80,000 VA employees were fired.

News just said the volcano in Iceland has erupted this morning. It had been dormant for 800 years until it erupted in 2023 and again yesterday. Yesterday the news said a 65(I heard 76 once):old woman had been found alive under the rubble in Myanmar. Unbelievable. The whole world is in turmoil and I have a headache over my right eye. Felt like I had something in my eye yesterday.

David, you really have a nice view. What is that huge building?

Had to venture outside my "radius" today. The amount of new construction, remodel and renovation going on here in OKC is staggering. I wish I were still in the business. Lots of money being made. Lots of workmen with good pay checks. It is a good thing.

    Hello.

David. I love that view, I could sit there all day, and enjoy it. Alls I would need is a rocking chair and my coffee. Also Molly and Sammy, my dog and kitty by my side.

GG. I really liked the yoga class we went to last night. I wasn't sure I would, so I'm glad I gave it a try. When my DH, was in a wheelchair, we did a lot of walking around, the facility, he also enjoyed going outside. I enjoyed the walk. I have also been to one of those free dinners. It was funny, we lived in a small town, in Bend, Oregon and had vacation property in LaPine, Oregon. The invite was trying to sell us property, close to our vacation property. I imagine that happens often.

Carl. That's strange why some religions would say that about yoga. I don't know a whole lot about other religions.

HB. Yes, you do need a vacation from your mom. You take real good care of her. She is blessed to have a daughter like you. I'm glad I'm not pickey about my hair, nails and cloths, I'm just a plain old Jane, in my sweats and slippers, everywhere I go.

Lorita, The yoga class was more then I was expending. We went, to what we thought, was a beginner class, and it was that, but it was for beginners who wanted to get right to it, we wanted to go into it slow. I really liked the class we went to. There were only five people and I did pretty good keeping up with them. Tomorrow we are going to try the slow beginner class, I'm afraid that will put me to sleep. This instructor does 3 classes a day, and we want to try them all.

I bet your girls are always glad to see you, I'm sure they miss you, as much as you miss them. I hope your headache has gone away.

    Hugs 🫂 to all Zetta

No storms for us overnight. Just rain. It was quite windy today. I had 3 lawn & lead bags out on the curb and they blew away! I did retrieve them. We also have someone else's plastic flower pot in our yard that blew in.

GG, we get those invitations quite often as well. We haven't gone and don't plan to. As they say, "There is no free lunch." "There's always a catch." Enough said.

HB, glad your mom is progressing from the IVAB to oral. You indicated the derm asked her not to use nail polish. Why? My toes are polished all spring and summer and some of fall - anytime I might be wearing a sandal or in the pool. I don't do pedicures on a regular basis; I still can reach down and take care of my nails and work on my calluses, etc.

David, you have a beautiful view from your room. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are feeling better and getting stronger.

Mint, hoping your weather is ok, no storms. Sounds like you have some pretty flowers. I love hyacinths. They smell so fragrant. I have no spring flowers here except for the tulips I planted last fall. I'll add some daffodils this fall.

Also hoping those in OK don't get major storms - prayers for all in harm's way.

My big news of today — I got the measles vaccine (MMR). I was worried enough about it, that I just decided to do it.

The pharmacist told me that the good news is that even if I did have measles or I was vaccinated against it, this vaccine won't hurt me, it'll only help me. I was onboard. I got an additional covid vaccine while I was at it. I think that's it for me, vaccination wise. I don't think there's anything else lurking out there that I need to get vaccinated against.

David — that cake looks yummy! I always go for the frosting flowers. 🙂 I'm guessing your birthday was sometime right around St. Patrick's Day? I noticed the shamrocks in the background. Anyway, Happy Birthday!

Carl - yeah, the wheelchairs that you put in the back of the car tend to be the transport wheelchairs. We could put Peggy's wheelchair in the back. It folded up very nicely. And, I could maneuver her into and out of it, which was a plus.

HB - I second the motion for you getting a vacation.

Lorita - I think I also saw the news about cutting funding for Alzheimer's….. I wish all of us could go to Congress and testify what it's like to care for someone with Alzheimer's. Maybe it would make a difference? Maybe I'm being naive…

Zetta — I'm glad you liked your yoga class! I really am thinking about it.

I've been through Bend, Oregon once. I liked it. When I was a tween and a teen, we would spend a week or two during the summer in Rogue River and Grants Pass. Various family members on my dad's side of the family lived there. To this day when I cruise through Rogue River, I wave at my grandmother's freeway exit.

And about those "free" lunch/dinner ads. Yeah, I know they're a scam, but I've gotten so many of them in the mail recently, I was just irritated and wondered how common it is to get them.

The latest ad I got in the mail is for pain relief with no drugs or surgery. I did some poking around and found out that it's stem cell injections that aren't covered by insurance — but hey, they have "financing available." You just know that one is a scam.

Another day shot today (Wednesday). DW woke up at 5:00 AM with a painful lump on her thigh where the cellulitis was last month, so I took her to the doctor. By the time the doctor looked at her at 2:00 PM, the lump was gone. I got nothing else done, since DW didn't go to day care. Sigh. At least the infection isn't back.

Thursday, I need to take DS to his podiatrist and the optician. That's 100 miles of driving and another afternoon in which I don't get anything done that I need to do for me. Maybe Friday will be better.

It rained and thundered here this morning, but nothing severe, and was really pretty this afternoon. Mid-70s, sunshine, flowers in bloom. More rain tomorrow, probably, but we need it.

Zetta, I completely relate to your lack of interest in dolling up. I was in the dairy store a while back, and the High School cheerleading squad was in line to get ice cream after practice. They were bouncing up and down, doing dance moves in their tight little clothes. How many people in the room were looking at me? And who cares if they were?

    Good morning

Speaking of tulips Beth, last year you recommended a tulip, but I can’t remember its name. Anyways, I ran on to them at a local big box store. They are up and they look healthy so far. I had forgot about planting them and I was looking out my window down onto my flower bed, and I thought that looks like tulips. So it was a very nice surprise and I have hope that if nothing eats them, I will have tulips.

We did have storms last night. I do not believe there was a tornado though in our area. I did not want to stay up all night because they weren’t giving the storms here till up in the early morning. So we do now have a system in our county where I get alerts over my phone. First they send a text message and then in a little bit you get a call. It’s kind of a nuisance in the daytime, but I’m glad I set it up that way. A text message doesn’t always wake me up at night. Sometimes it will, and sometimes it will not. But I believe the phone would wake me up at night. So what I did was, I laid my phone close to my ear, I had national weather service radar pulled up on my iPad And I left it turned upside down so the light wouldn’t bother me and I had quick access to either Ryan Hall y’all or Max velocity. I stayed dressed in my clothes and had my good tennis shoes at my bedside along with my motorcycle helmet and my bag that has power banks, my medicines and some plastic bags to put my iPad and phone in. And a good battery powered light source. I thought Lord, I’m going to go to sleep with your help and if I need to wake up, please help me to hear my phone. So the phone did go off about 1 AM, but it was just for a severe thunderstorm warning, no tornado warning. I looked at the radar, listened to Max velocity for a few minutes, and he felt things were going to calm down in Ohio compared to how they had been and then I was able to go back to sleep. So I’m very thankful for this system that I have in place. I consider it a blessing I have a lot of trouble staying awake when I’m tired. I feel pretty good this morning.

GG was reaction to MMR mild? I have no idea if I had a vaccine. I was born in 1957. I do believe that I had the measles I can even remember the incident. But I’m not positive that that was measles and I would rather be safe than sorry. I have thought about getting The Covid too, I’m considering it. I had the Novavax last fall and I had pretty much no reaction to it. So if I can find Novavax again I may do that. Sounds like you got them both at the same time?

Carl, I’m thinking you live in Missouri. I heard tornado warnings given there a bit before I went to bed. Glad you guys didn’t get that. It did seem like Mississippi and Tennessee might be having a hard time too.

    Take care

Mint, The tulips are Banja Luka.

Mint, I had titers drawn to see if I was immune to measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox and I was immune to all. I knew I had had all of them, but good to have documentation of immunity. If immune there really is no reason to get a vaccine for them.

My last Covid vaccine was 2 1/2 yrs ago - I had 5 of them. I wish I had not gotten more than the first 2 or 3. I don't plan to get any more. (If you want to know why, check out Dr. John Campbell on YouTube. He has a lot to say about the MRNA vaccines and none of it good. I do realize Novavax is not an MRNA vaccine.) I have not had Covid, either. I did think once that I had it because I applied cologne and couldn't smell it. However that lack of smell lasted one day; I just had a plugged up nose from a bad cold.

Morning, thunderstorms moving in so watching the radar. We will have severe weather off and on through Saturday and lots of rain.

I did, or didn't do something evening before last when I drove the car to the mailbox. Went out last evening and it wouldn't stsrt. The gear shift wasn't in park, not sure, neutral maybe. So don't know what happened. I bought one of those Halo Bolt jump starters7 it's somewhere and I have a battery charger. Not like the one we always used so not sure about it. Gary may come today to work on the barn so maybe he can figure it out, or Darwin or AAA. I have jumped the tractor and PU lots of times with the old charger but don't think it works now. The car is in the carport so don't know how that will work.

When they fed yesterday the cow took her new baby up to the p!ace they feed and later I saw the cows had come back down. Saw the mom going up to the MH later. guess she left baby up there. I watched and never saw them come back so drove the PU up there and found that the baby had gotten between a double fence and guess he didn't know how to get out. Mom was close to him grazing. She knew I had come to help so didn't bother me, just watched. Finally got him out and they came down with the others Really glad I saw her go up there and not come back with the baby. so I could help.

MInt, sounds like you have things figured out to deal with the storms. I saw there was a big outbreak of tornados yesterday. Our weatherman said there were at least thirteen tornado warnings at one time. Our weather is getting worse, floods, fires, droughts and tornados. Climate change is causing it so will probably get worse as time goes by.

    Be careful, everyone. Back later.

Good morning. It rained last night and feels very damp this morning. Winds move in later. I have nowhere to be until 1pm, so it's all good.

Judith— I feel for your DH putting up a tent in the dark. The carpet comment reminds me of the first time we camped at Assateague State Park (better than the National Seashore because of the hot showers) with standard tent pegs and spent most of the weekend chasing tents that blew away. One Monday we ordered 12" tent spikes.

Mint— I feel you on the Joann fabric options. I guess they stocked what sold. I know I spent a lot of time waiting at the cutting table behind someone buy an assortment of random fleece patterns to make those no-sew blankets. For a time, it seemed like every kid in the county made these as a Girls Scout Silver, Bat Mitzvah or Confirmation project for their friends. So much fleece, novelty and licensed fabric. Mine did have Liberty lawn but at $35/yard I never treated myself. I told my DH when we ever get back to London I'm going to go crazy there.

My aunt has a friend who is not a candidate for surgery who did the stem cell procedure and said it worked quite well. It was expensive but he's happy with it.

Lady Z— With yoga, you're not supposed to compare yourself to others in the practice but that's hard to do. There are different kinds of yoga; I've tried quite a few that I would actively avoid in the future. Kundalini (breathing) is not my jam and Ashtanga Vinyasa (fast paced "power yoga") is beyond my joints' ability to move but a nice Hatha or Yin (slow-paced) and even Bikram (hot) and I'm happy. My niece and I used to sneak out for a restorative practice once a week when she lived here— that was lovely, I almost fell asleep doing that.

Beth— The derm's reasoning is that she should use a non-acetone remover and give the nails a couple days off, before applying new ever week or so. Otherwise, her nails dry out and she gets small peeling white spots on them. This irks her— she wants the salon polish to stay on a month and get it redone same day she gets her hair cut. She can bend to trim them, but with the depth perception issue from the damaged optic nerve, the AMD and the Essential Tremor it can be a challenge so she files them.

I had to reach out to her derm yesterday. Mom asked her hairstylist if there was anything she could do to hasten the regrowth of her hair now that she's done with the nafcillin which we suspect caused the hair loss. The stylist suggested protein drinks. Given mom's 87-year-old kidneys, we're running this past a medical professional first. FTR, the woman gets plenty of protein; she eats eggs most days for breakfast and fixes a real dinner for herself. I bring her a portion of whatever I cook for dinner that will reheat well. I also have a friend who cooks low-salt for members of her church as part of a ministry, so she gives me 3-4 meals frozen each week for mom as well.

The PICC gets pulled this afternoon. I am irrationally excited about this.

Good morning everyone. Today is my birthday. I've reached the age of three quarters of a century. Most of my elders didn't make it past their fifties or mid-sixties. I feel humbled that I made it this far.

    Happy Birthday to you, David!
