Good Birthday breakfast! I had the same as him except I had French toast instead of the pancakes. Now to figure out how to work some of this off before taking everyone out for dinner tonight.

Afternoon. Happy birthday to your son, Ron. I can vaguely remember when I was 55. That was one, or two, big breakfasts.

Really sore this morning, guess it just took a while to settle in. Left side of my head hurts some-it was sore yesterday. I didn't hit it. Cold.here this morning. Fed the.birds and let the GPs out and in. Sheena did pretty well. They just went out again and think I will let them stay out a while.

for you animal lovers my Missouri home has given me a few rare treats. Late yesterday I looked out my window and 8 deers were within arms reach if my arm was twice as long. I couldn’t believe they were this close just walking around the yard, I watched them for at least 15 minutes. This morning on the way to breakfast right down the road we saw 14 cross the road right in front of us with the last being a baby just standing a few moments more wondering if it was ok. Later before getting off the mountain onto 65, a bald eagle flew over us.

Ron…I have been living on meatloaf and PBJ's sine the storm hit. I coud eat everything in that photo.

Sister report…she is better but will need 24/7 care once released. She is not going to like that at all. The crazy niece is getting some unwanted instruction from the staff. The stable niece is having a hard time but doing well.

    Streets still icy. Still cold

Glad your sister is improving Judith, hope it continues.

Ron, how great to see the deer and eagle. Nature is wonderful. When I went to he mailbox there were wolf or coyote tracks around the carport and all the way to the mail box. Also saw rabbit tracks in the yard and beyond.. This morning and a couple of other early mornings I have heard an owl in the trees outside the bedroom. Either an owl or Indians! That thought is attributed to my love of Western shows.

Darwin called a while ago and said he was down to less than 1% of propane. He called so maybe they will come this evening. He has a Wood stove for heat, too.

Had a UPS and a FedEx delivery today. The FedEx guy grew up on a ranch so sort of watches the girls when he comes. He said he saw one out on the ice as he drove up but she got off ok. I think they will.stay up with the hay tonight. I'll get out early and fill the water tank. Probably should have filled it this afternoon and cut the ice in the morning but didn't feel up to it.

You all stay warm and sleep well. Good night.

Ron, that was a nice birthday breakfast for your son. I suppose he doesn't eat like that every day since he's so slim. Or perhaps he works it off, living up there on a mountain.

It's nice to see deer in the yard. When I lived in Indiana, my apartment was at the edge of town by the woods and deer sometimes came into the common area in the winter.

Judith, I'm glad your sister is doing better. Can she have phone calls from you now?

Lorita. I wish you could hunker down but I gather there's always some work to be done on a ranch, even in the midst of winter.

Yesterday I ran into someone I had not seen in about twenty years! I was at the supermarket and turned down an aisle and there she was. We had met at a Christian social event in the early 1990s. It's nice to reconnect.

I'm turning in now. I'm going out tomorrow. Temp reached 87 degrees today. I see the full moon is out. Good night.

Wow, Iris, 87 degrees! We hit 50 today, with rain. It was one of those very dark days where it looked like 6am at noon.

It's so nice to reconnect with people you haven't seen in ages, and in such an unexpected way.

HB - I like waffles, but rarely have them, so I'd absolutely go to a Waffle House for some.

Eeeg - 3 degrees is waaaaaaay too cold for me. I can't even.

Ron - Happy birthday to your son!!! I hope he had a great day, and you as well. That breakfast looks humongous. Does he have a hollow leg for all of that food? French toast —- yum!!

Lorita - I'm glad Sheena did better today. You take care out there in the cold and ice.

Carl - the ultimate math/musician link that I can think of is Sir Brian May of Queen. He's played guitar with them since the beginning, and he also teaches astrophysics at Oxford in England. (!!!)

I managed to take a nap today which did me a world of good. I took tonight off which also felt good. So, pretty quiet.

Hi from cold, snowy Oklahoma. The sun is shining but it was one degree this morning and WC was much lower with a north wind. Most of the girls were in the.corral so decided I would try to get some water to them. I had to pour hot water over the hydrant to thaw it but got it done. Bet I have made half a dozen trips out there. Walking on the icy snow hasn't been easy but it was beginning to thaw a bit on my last trip. Maybe this will be the last of our real cold and snowy winter. I hope the daffodils are okay.

Temp is up to 21. Walking on the thawing ice and snow.is not too easy. I use a sorting stick for balance. Girls have drifted away so guess everyone who wanted a drink got one. Filled the water tank two thirds full so it will be there later.

There is a split and a little hole in the pipe on the hydrant so the althea by the hydrant is ice covered. I have some stuff that is gray in a cylinder that you mix two colors together so I will see if that will seal the leaks. GPs are outside and I think I will leave them out a while.

Eagle has the ice on your driveway melted?

20 degrees and sunny here, too, after about 1 degree last night. I got to wanting a chocolate malt last night and drove to Braum's to get one. When I was handing the money to the window clerk with snow blowing past my hand, I thought "Carl, you are a nut. You should be home heating some soup." It was worth it. 🍨

Sounds good to me, too. Carl but the nearest Braums is 25 miles away. We used to buy two or three of Wendy's frostys, put them in a cooler and freeze them when we got home. Again, Wendy's is 2 miles from us.

Up to 24 degrees and should to be in mid 60s Monday.

Carl, had my family at Buffalo Wild Wings in Springfield when it was snowing. I would have just as soon they dropped me off at Braum’s since I don’t care for wings, but it was his birthday so I got a hamburger. The hamburger was actually one of only a few places I would go back to for a hamburger.

Burger King used to have good hamburgers but haven't had one for 20+ years.

I just saw on the news that ravens invaded Jackie and Shadow's nest while they were away. Did they ruin their eggs?
