Lorita it has probably been about 35years since I got rid of my TV. Now and then, not often, play nature sounds off you tube for a little pleasant noise.
Zetta I take a piece of flannel approximately 21in x11in. Sew it up on three sides, then fill half full with rice. Then tuck open end down around a quarter of an inch all the way around. Sew it closed. Making two seams side by side a good idea to make stronger. Will depend on your microwave but I heat mine 3 to 3.5 minutes. Put one on each side down toward lower part of bed. Have done this for years.
JoC I’m very sorry about your nephew also.

In my family, as a small child, I don't ever remember the men eating first, we all ate together. Although if there was a big crowd, we children ate at a kid's table. Perhaps that was a farm tradition--the men had to hurry to eat and get back into the fields.
Sayra, thanks for the DIY hot pad instructions.
