Well, this seems to be browser-specific. Clicking the back button on Safari (only site I use to access the site) indeed dumps you back to the top of the board. Give it a try.

Thank you for asking. Clinical trial information is available on our Trial Match site, so please keep an eye on that site to see the latest developments and trials.

This "Trial Match" website is simply a way for people to join clinical trials.

I'm looking for the *discussion* of new research and clinical trials that was happening on alzconnected.org

    Where is this discussion?

Thank you for your feedback. You are welcome to start a thread to discuss research in either of the Living with Alzheimer's or Dementia categories or I am a Caregiver (General Topics).

We listened to feedback regarding the Solutions Center and have added a new Solutions Center thread on ALZConnected. It also has its own link under ALZConnected Resources.

M1, re: Victoria's link to "Understanding the dementia experience", I clicked on the link, then when I finally got to the site, if I clicked on the chapters, those headings links would not work. But if I used the arrow buttons toward the bottom of the screen, those worked OK.

Thanks Ed, I'll try again. I wish an "add link" function could be added? Is that possible, moderators?

I don't know if this bothers anyone else, but I really miss how you could look at a post, and see when it was made. Now it just says for example, 2:43 PM, but no day or year. Would that be an easy fix?

Can we go to a darker font? I know it has been changed once, but it is still very light for some of us with less than perfect vision.

The change would be much appreciated by many.

What's the difference between like, care and insightful?

You can add a link to a post by highlighting the text, clicking the icon that looks like a chain, pasting the URL of the desired link, then pressing enter/return. Links will then look like this.

If a post just says the time, it means it was posted that day. If you highlight over the date/time, it will give you the date information.

Thank you for your feedback. We are looking into the option of darkening the font to maintain accessibility needs.

It just depends on your mood or reaction to a post. If someone posts something sad and heartfelt, sometimes a "care" reaction is more appropriate. If someone makes a post that you really found informational, the insightful reaction might be best. Ultimately, it's up to you how you want to react to another community member's post.

Perhaps we should have a thread something like...Help navigating the site...with comments particularly noted as either Phone or Laptop/Desk top instructions...To help everyone find it perhaps admin would pin at the top of the page. Just a thought as helpful hints are now scattered thru the system.

Why is it necessary for readers to know when a post was edited? I have to edit to correct my typos.

Thank you for your feedback. This is a feature of the platform to let other users know if a post was changed in any way. There are times where users may make more elaborate edits to their posts, so marking these posts as edited will let others know that it may not have been the same post they read earlier.

This thread was moved from the I am a Caregiver (General Topics) board to the Account Assistance board to be more inclusive to members.

We would like to apologize to anyone that was unable to post their question or answer here since the thread was moved to the Account Assistance board. We resolved the situation and now anyone can post their questions and answers to this thread again.

Also, please note that members can now delete their own comments by clicking the three buttons in the corner of your post and clicking "Delete." To maintain the integrity of information posted on ALZConnected, members cannot delete their own threads. Thanks to everyone for your patience.

Thank you for reaching out about clarification on the Ignore feature. Only an ignored user's comments are hidden, but you will still see discussion threads they post. This is intentional so there's no risk of missing valuable content from non-ignored users who post to the discussion.

If you feel that someone's posts are not adhering to our Community Guidelines, please report them using the Flag button. You can find out more information about how to report posts in this thread on the Take a Community Tour board.

A number of the members have received an email regarding participating in testing proposed changes to this site. So far, those responding on the General Topics thread have not agreed with the proposed process requirements.

Are you considering changing the testing process? Do you have any members polled agreeing to participate?

I am having a difficult time no knowing how to edit, delete a post, draft or even make a comment to the administrators. If I can't edit or delete my comments that alone may be a deal breaker as far as making comments. I hate to be negative since this site has been so important to my caregiving. But the site is not user friendly and I just don't need any more stress in my life.

Could you set up a training program on how to use the site. I can't seem to see the big picture. I was doing fair until it came to this editing. To me how to use site the blends in with the guidance on dementia. I will post this now but I am not sure where it is going.

Thank you for pointing this out on the Take a Community Tour discussion. We have updated the wording in the instructions on how to send another user a message to clarify that discussion posts remain but comments will be hidden. You are correct in that you will still see the initial discussion post, but you will not see any of their comments on any posts they create or that another user has created.

To answer your second question, direct messages sent to other users cannot be deleted. You can, however, opt to leave a conversation by selecting the Leave Conversation button on the right of the screen while viewing the message.

While this will not "unsend" the message to the recipient, it will no longer be in your messages and the recipient cannot reply to you through it unless they re-added you to the conversation. I hope this information helps clarify.

We're sorry to hear that you're having issues navigating the new site. It is possible to edit your discussion posts and edit/delete your comments by clicking the three dots in the right-hand corner of the post. This will take you to an option to edit (if it's a discussion page) or edit/delete (if it's a comment).

While we do not have a training program per-se, we have a several training videos available on our Take a Community Tour, including on how to make comments. Here are links to each tour with a video included:

Will you be making inquiries regarding my questions, or is this not a subject that will be discussed further?

There are currently no plans to make changes to the ALZConnected testing process outlined in the email you received; however, your feedback was forwarded along to the appropriate department. Thank you for your concern.
